New Large Tongue Drums

Our new tongue drums are the largest ones we carry in our store, amplifying deep rich tones with a hallow interior. The center of the tongue drum exhibits the symbol of the Flower of Life, making it a perfect companion for meditation and self-care.
The Aztecs created the first known Tongue drum calling it a log drum/tone drum. This form of drum has been around for awhile as these wooden creations are said to sound strikingly similar! The Slit Drum is also a similar instrument with a history of African origin.
The "Keys" on the tongue drums carry the shape of a tongue, hence the given name. These instruments are very easy to play and require no prior musical skill to enjoy the benefits. This drum can give you the power to harness the musical energies to your liking, often used for meditative and relaxing purposes. The keys on the drum carry the shape of a tongue, but what about the symbol of the Flower of Life in the center?
This symbol is believed to represent a cycle of Creation where life comes from one source and is said to be the most significant and sacred patterns in our Universe.
What is included:
You get the steel tongue drum, mallets, and a purple, padded and lined backpack/ bag to protect your investment and safely enjoy your drum anywhere.

Feel free to stop by the Gallery and see our Sound Healer Kaitlin!

The shock of sudden cooling causes a network of tiny fractures to propagate through the quartz. The result is a transparent colored stone that sparkles when it is moved under bright light. The sparkles are produced as light enters the stone, strikes an internal fracture surface, and reflects back to the eye of the observer.

Gem-Infused Singing Bowls

What a beautiful addition to your meditation space or living room!

CREATION: Crystal singing bowls are made from 99.992 percent pure quartz crystal that is crushed and molded. The bowls emit a powerful, pure resonance. The thickness of the bowl, as well as the height and diameter, determine the specific vibrational frequency of the bowl.  Crystal Singing bowls first came to market as healing tools in 1980s. Tibetan metal bowls which, work in a similar way, have been in use for centuries.

The use of sound healing therapy is not just a new age phenomenon, but extends back thousands of years into the ancient times where many kinds of special instruments were used to remedy illnesses and revive the spirit. How it works: the sound vibration from these instruments helps to move you from what are known as “beta brain patterns”, or those with concentration, anxiety, and fight or flight reflexes to brain waves that are associated with relaxation {alpha}, meditation {theta}, and trance like states {delta}.  Crystal singing bowls spanning back to the 12th. century, singing bowls were used all throughout Asia and were commonly found in Tibetan monasteries and temples for meditation practices.

HOW TO USE: LIGHTLY tap the bowl just to get the vibration going. As you firmly press the accompanying mallet in a circular motion against the bowls outside edge or rim. When you hear a bright clear tone, you can slow down the motion. Use your full arm to make the motion, rather than just rotating your wrist. You will start to feel the relaxation set in and your mind going into the zone. This will help with meditation, relaxation and focus.
Suede wand and rubber ring holder included.

Fighting Challenges with Obsidian

Obsidian has a calm, cool energy that helps us to be directly conscious of what is happening inside us and around us, and to face that reality without fear or denial. It invites us rise up to whatever challenges we are faced with and to make good choices. It helps us to realize that thoughts and feelings don’t need to be magnified or over-analyzed. Our internal dialogue is just information about what is happening outside and inside of us.

Obsidian is naturally occurring volcanic glass, produced when felsic lava extrudes from a volcano and cools rapidly with minimal crystal growth. With a hardness of 5 to 6, obsidian is durable due to its microscopic crystalline structure, however easily shattered. The glass often looks black but when its back-lit it can appear as a deep brown color. Obsidian is a strong protective stone and forms a shield against negativity, while absorbing any negative energies in the environment.  We have beautiful obsidian pieces including jewelry to help to ground you and heal your past.

Scolecite

Scolecite

Scolecite is the stone of “inner peace”, and will be the perfect remedy for anyone looking to relax, especially after a long day. Crystals pendants activate the upper chakras and is commonly used as a meditation tool. When holding a piece to the third eye, one will immediately feel slow, pulsating vibrations massage our 6th chakra. Scolecite strengthens and unlocks our third eye and allows for intense lucid dreaming. With it, extreme vividness and enhanced memory of your nightly inter-dimensional travels is very common.

When meditating with the intention of auric cleansing or self-healing, it is important to do so from the heart. Scolecite may work on a higher vibration with the upper chakras, but it also unlocks the heart and pushes it to release anything that may be causing pain from within. This stone is a total auric cleanser and will in a sense do a “spring cleaning” on you when working with it daily. It’s important to cleanse and sage Scolecite after you’ve worked with it due to it pulling out negative energy from within and absorbing it.

Micro Inlay Jewelry

Micro Inlay Jewelry

Inlay Jewelry is some of the most popular Jewelry being made in the world today. Southwestern Inlay Jewelry has lead the way to the Inlay Jewelry world for decades as the Zuni Indians of New Mexico were the first noted artisans to prefect this type of Jewelry. Inlay Jewelry is made by creating a master piece of Jewelry in Gold or Silver with channels or voids that are meant to have gemstones inlayed into them. Quality Inlay Jewelry is professionally made so the channels have a locking groove or an angle in the channel to the gemstone will not fall out. Once the master is created, gemstones are hand cut to fit into the channels, glued in with a high strength epoxy, cured and then the gemstones are ground, sanded and polished to perfection.

Ametrine is a gemstone containing both amethyst and citrine, showcasing purple and golden colors in a single magnificent bi-colored quartz crystal. Azurite

Azurite

Azurite is a secondary mineral that usually forms when carbon-dioxide-laden waters descend into the Earth and react with subsurface copper ores. The carbonic acid of these waters dissolves small amounts of copper from the ore. The dissolved copper is transported with the water until it reaches a new geochemical environment. This new environment could be a location where water chemistry or temperature changes, or where evaporation occurs. If conditions are right, the mineral azurite might form. If these conditions persist for a long time, a significant accumulation of azurite might develop.

Soaked in spiritual power, Azurite is well known for its wealth of healing energy and for turning up the volume on secret psychic abilities. For anyone who has been attracted to the idea of tapping into their own clairvoyance, connecting with their intuition, and seeking guidance from spirit guides – Azurite could be just the stone to open those doors. While the swirling blue stone may be best known for its cosmic connections, that doesn’t mean it falls short when serving the emotional and spiritual body too.

Gemstone Gua Shas & Facial Rollers

Gemstone Gua Shas and Facial Rollers: How to use them & their benefits

Gua Sha

Used in traditional Chinese medicine, gua sha involves scraping a flat, rounded tool over the skin. Translated, gua means press or stroke, and sha refers to a rash or redness, but while traditional Chinese therapists work hard and deep – skin can be left bright red – for its beauty benefits, you need a lighter touch on the face. “Even if you have a facial once a week, you still need to do something every day,” says Katie Brindle, who has been working with Chinese medicine for more than 15 years and who created the Hayo’u Method, which makes use of gua sha tools. “Gua sha treatment relaxes the muscles, gets the energy and blood moving and shifts any puffiness. It boosts the circulation – studies show up to 400 percent – which takes away toxins and brings in oxygen and nutrients.” Best described as a hands-on mix of massage and workout, it helps release tension (I find it amazing for headaches and tight jaws) and leaves skin instantly more supple, glowing and healthy-looking. “You are also creating a controlled trauma [that short-term flush of redness], which the skin then starts to repair by making new collagen.”

1. You can use a gua sha on the face, body and scalp, and it’s best to use with water or an oil – but never on bare skin.

2. Hold the gua sha tool with the curved side to your face and glide it gently up and out, starting with the neck, jawline, chin and around the mouth, between three and five times per area. Always take short strokes in just one direction, not back and forth.

3. Work the tool in small horizontal strokes over the brow bone to lift, or hold and press upwards between the brows to release tension.

4. Stroke down the neck, never upwards, to drain fluid.

5. If you want to reduce puffiness, work lightly, then more firmly, to relax muscles.

Facial Rollers

Facial Rollers are designed to be used to gently massage the face and stimulate the lymphatic system to get rid of toxins, ease muscle tension, decrease puffiness and stimulate blood-flow to increase your skin’s glow. This act of a face rolling massage over the skin (always with an oil or serum for slip) is key to draining excess fluid from the face and, with regular use, will tone and lift the skin. Some face rollers have two ends: one with a large-sized stone – intended for the forehead, cheeks, jawline and neck – and one with a smaller stone, which snugly fits under the eyes. Keep your face roller chilled in fridge. While most crystal face rollers stay cold naturally, using an extra-chilled tool tightens pores and wakes up a weary face at the end of a long day (or early in the morning), making it particularly good to use before an event. It’s also great to use for headaches. “Use it two to three times a week, for at least five minutes, and you’ll see the difference to your face in a couple of weeks.

1. Always do face rolling upwards and in one direction – never roll up and down.

2. Repeat up to five upward rolls in each area. First, roll outwards under the jawline.

3. Next, use the face roller to roll out, towards your hairline, under the cheekbones and then along them.

4. Lastly, roll flat along the brows, and then upwards on the forehead.

5. Work more slowly over the neck and jawline, but be brisk to firm over and under the cheeks, advises A-list aesthetician Joanna Czech.

Petrified Wood

Madagascar Petrified Wood is over 80,000,000 years old. The trees originally grew during the Triassic Period. After the trees died, they were buried by sediment; decomposing slowly. Saturated with water/mud rich in silica and trace minerals, eventually the silica and various other minerals replaced the cast left behind by the wood and the logs became stone. The beautiful coloring of the wood is due to traces of iron, manganese and carbon that stained the silica. Over time, the sediment covering or surrounding the wood erodes, exposing the petrified logs beneath the surface.

The Spiritual Power of Azurite

For anyone who has been attracted to the idea of tapping into their own clairvoyance, connecting with their intuition, and seeking guidance from spirit guides - Azurite could be just the stone to open those doors. While the swirling blue stone may be best known for its cosmic connections, that doesn't mean it falls short when serving the emotional and spiritual body too.

Libyan Tektite

Libyan Tektite

Libyan Desert Glass formed around 27-29 million years ago. However, the origin of its formation remained a debate for centuries. Some researchers even believe that the natural glass may have traveled from outer space in a meteorite rather than forming here on earth. In 2019, scientists determined that Libyan tektite formed when a Meteorite impacted the earth, melted and vaporized the landscape, and formed into a Tektite.

Libyan tektite aids spiritual grounding, by taking excess spiritual energy down to the Earth Star Chakra for grounding. Although it has a strong resonance within the solar plexus chakra, this stones energy is potent within all of the chakras. The golden light this stone emits energizes and enlivens all of the chakras below the heart and creates a stronger flow of life force energy throughout the body. It is a strong stone within the sacral chakra to enhance or increase creativity and may stimulate those with the gift of clairsentience to have stronger gifts. It has a strong resonance within both the heart and higher heart chakra, imbuing you with a sense of happiness, joy and love of life.

Northosite

Northosite

Northosite, (not to be confused with one of its constituents Anorthite) is also known as Anorthosite or Mystery Stone. It is a type of intrusive igneous rock composed predominantly of calcium-rich plagioclase feldspar. All anorthosites found on Earth consist of coarse crystals, but some samples of the rock taken from the Moon are fine crystalline. Most Northosite was formed during Precambrian times.

The frequency of northosite connects to the Earth star and third eye chakras, supporting the energy of these chakras so that one may remain grounded within the third dimensional reality whilst being able to expand one’s consciousness to other dimensions to receive guidance, so that one may journey on one’s path in one’s highest good. The energy of Northosite offers protection to one’s energy fields from outer negative influences. It allows one to ‘go within’, seeking out deeply held emotions that are no longer serving one and to help with their release.

Introduction to Sacred Geometry

Sacred Geometry shapes and symbols

In this blog I’ll be talking about sacred geometry and each shape and symbols meaning and uses. This will be the first of many as there are more than 600 symbols in advanced sacred geometry. So, to start off with here are the 11 more common sacred geometry symbols and what they mean. Sacred Geometry is built following precise dimensions and proportions that flow in the graphical expression of fundamentals symbolisms. The sphere, the cube, the tetrahedron and the other "perfect figures" have always been subject of studies and today they are still the base of the symbolism that belongs in many philosophies, religious beliefs, sciences and meditative disciplines. All the matter of our Universe interacts with itself by following determinate patterns and rules, viewable and inscribed in these representations that assume meanings symbolize more complex, important and deep concepts. The graphic design is read as moving frequency, like a continuous dance that presents, in its essence an inseparable relationship made of Sound – Color - Number: this relationship translates into Music and Harmony.

Sacred Geometry is the “Graphical Display” which lets you express and share between different cultures, traditions & ways to communicate the same Aesthetic, Metaphysical, Mathematical and Beauty values that each of us interprets and lives in his own way. In nature, we find patterns, designs and structures from the most minuscule particles, to expressions of life discernible by human eyes, to the greater cosmos. These inevitably follow geometrical archetypes, which reveal to us the nature of each form and its vibrational resonances. They are also symbolic of the underlying metaphysical principle of the inseparable relationship of the part to the whole. It is this principle of oneness underlying all geometry that permeates the architecture of all form in its myriad diversity. This principle of interconnectedness, inseparability and union provides us with a continuous reminder of our relationship to the whole, a blueprint for the mind to the sacred foundation of all things created.

Sacred Geometry is often referred to as the “architecture of the universe”, it is found throughout the natural world. It is all around us and is one of the very few subjects that satisfy both the left brain and right brain hemispheres simultaneously. It satisfies the left brains desire for logical, sequential and objective data. It also satisfies the right brains desire for random, intuitive and subjective data. It is simply not possible to cover all aspects of sacred geometry, although I will try to include as much as possible in this article. People have spent entire lifetimes studying a single aspect of sacred geometry; such as a rabbi studying the kabbalistic tree of life. The following content provides an overview on a few Sacred Geometry symbols.

Vesica Piscis: balance & creation

Vesica Piscis is a mathematical shape formed by intersecting two identical circles so that the center of each circle intersects the perimeter of the other. The Vesica Piscis is commonly used for Venn Diagrams, in various art and in seals organizations. Various other symbols can be derived from the Vesica Piscis including the Ichthys, also known as the “Jesus Fish”, the triquetra symbol, and the Reuleaux triangle. It has also been a symbol used by Freemasons for many years. Historically, the Vesica Piscis has been used as a system of proportions for architecture, illustrated in the works of Vitruvius. Each of the cultures that used or use the Vesica Piscis as a symbol attribute a particular meaning, all of which are true – as they all mean the same thing once you dig under the roots:

  • The union of heaven and earth in the body of Christ (Christian)
  • The root element of the Flower of Life (Judaism)
  • The ‘Cosmic Mother,’ Goddess Maat (Egypt)
  • Merging of God and Goddess (Celts/Norse)

What follows is an explanation of how each of the four meanings above has the same meaning: balance and creation. Furthermore, creation relates to consciousness. Science shows us that nature has to find balance in order for creation to flourish. We see this in the sub-atomic particles of an atom. Male protons (positive charge) bind with female electrons (negative charge) to try and find equilibrium. When positive and negative charges of an atom find a balance, a perfect creation is formed. When they cannot find equilibrium, the female electron will look for another proton. If the atom cannot find equilibrium, the neutron kicks in and it neutralizes, but only if there is more or less of a balance of electrons and protons. If there are more of one than the other, an imperfect creation will form. The Vesica Piscis is the shape in the center of two interlocking circles. Let’s say one of the circles is the male energy and the other is the female energy. The centerpiece is a perfect creation. But only when the circles are symmetrical & balanced.

The Seed of life:

The Seed of Life is a universal symbol that also represents the seven days of creation. It is found in all of the major religions and can be seen in many sites around the world, such as churches, mosques, prayer books and ancient temples. The Seed of Life is a two-dimensional illustration that consists of seven circles of the same size, which overlap. There are six circles on the outside, which interconnect with the seventh circle in the middle. The image looks like a set of equally proportioned flowers. The design is not only beautiful; but it has profound symbolic meaning. It has been used for centuries as a symbol of blessing and protection. The Seed of Life symbol and its meanings is an intriguing topic to study. As an environmental enthusiast, patterns found in nature and their corresponding symbolism fascinate me because it implies that all life on Earth (and the Universe) is interconnected. In fact, for some of us, life on Earth is a divine creation. The Seed of Life and its foundation in Sacred Geometry crystalize this concept. According to Sacred Geometry, patterns in nature are viewed from a mathematical viewpoint and they have broad implications. The “sacred” part is a belief that these patterns, their mathematical formulas, and their structure are evidence of divine planning and creation. Another example of Sacred Geometry in nature is the Fibonacci Spiral.

The Egg of life:

A symbol that has been used to represent new life, rebirth and fertility. The Egg of Life is the second iteration of a process that constructs the Flower of Life. Adding six additional circles to the seed of life you are able to produce the Egg of Life. This can also be formed by the eight spheres contained within the three-dimensional Metatron’s Cube. The Egg of life is the procedure that births the Flower of Life. It comprises 13 circles embedded which reappears to depict oneness. It stands for three necessary things in people’s life; health, stability, and fertility. All humans were born via pregnancy. And after that they discover his or her health status, which at the end direct them to create the right mental and physical stability on this planet. The “Egg of Life” has been presumed to be the organizational framework for music as the spaces between the circles is similar to the gaps between full time and semitones on the musical chromatic scale. It is equally similar to the form of embryonic development at the cellular level in humans. The meiosis takes place, dividing into two cells, then subsequently to four cells and later to eight cells. As such, when this same arrangement is further processed, it forms the human body and the entire energy systems.

The Flower of Life:

The Flower of Life was known around the world in ancient times and has been found in Ireland, Turkey, Egypt, Greece, China, Israel, Germany, England, Tibet, Japan and Sweden. The typical depiction Flower of Life always stops after 19 circles, the remaining circles are hidden outside the bounds of the outer circle. In the past this image and knowledge related to the Flower of Life was so sacred that they couldn’t allow it to become common knowledge. Out of the complete Flower of Life pattern a new shape emerges; The Fruit of Life.

The Flower of Life is said to be the actual blueprint of the universe continuing the basic design of every atomic and molecular structure, life form, etc. Essentially everything in existence. Modern science and quantum physics are confirming the cosmic significance of these ancient sacred geometric forms which represent the building blocks of our physical universe. The ancients knew about the energetic nature of our existence. Other sacred patterns such as the Egg of Life, Seed of Life and the Tree of Life also exists within the Flower of Life pattern. In the theory of Sacred Geometry, geometrical (or mathematical) patterns found in nature are evidence of intelligent design. While we can explain these patterns in scientific terms, followers of Sacred Geometry believe they are evidence of creation by a higher power.

One example of Sacred Geometry in nature is the Fibonacci Spiral. The Fibonacci Spiral is a pattern that repeats throughout nature and the greater Universe. Sunflowers, hurricanes, galaxies, nautilus seashells, and even coiled snakes, contains spirals.

Tree of life:

The Tree of Life is another popular universal symbol it represents numerous systems across varying cultures and religions. Like all the other symbols in this list it is not identified by a single culture and it has been used around the world for centuries. So, what does the Tree of Life represent? A connection to everything including the things we cannot see or the void beyond. It reminds you that you are not alone in the Universe but rather part of a vast interconnected network.

The Tree of Life provides a hierarchical structure for all of the forces in the Universe. It can also be used as a road map of one’s soul. The 10 spheres are called the “Sephiroth” translating to emanation. These are connected by different paths. The first Sephira on the Tree of Life is at the top. It represents cosmic consciousness. The Sephira at the base represents the material world. The rest of these Sephiroth represent different qualities of the Soul. These can be divided into three pillars; the Pillar of Severity, The pillar of Mildness and the Pillar of Mercy. The tree has always been a symbol of life, renewal, and energy. So, it shouldn’t be surprising that many different religions and even branches of science have used this mystic symbol to represent beliefs and ideals. There are many records throughout history that show that the Tree of Life was used in many different parts of the world, during many different periods in time. In Ancient Egypt, for instance, it is said that the first couple (Isis and Osiris) emerged from an Acacia tree (the Tree of Life). The Tree of Life for Assyrians, on the other hand, was a symbol with crisscrossing lines and nodes.

In the Kabbalah, the Tree of Life has various meanings and symbolism. It is used to show the path to God or HaShem. It is also a representation of how God created the world out of nothingness. It can be said, therefore, that the Tree of Life is some sort of map of creation. The ten circles of the Tree of Life are symbols for the ten Sefirot or spiritual centers, while the lines connecting these circles represent the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet. When put together to form this powerful symbol, the Tree of Life represents the path one should take to connect to God or to find the union of the divine and the physical self.

The Fruit of Life:

The 13 spheres represent an extremely powerful sacred geometric pattern known as the Fruit of Life, considered the Holy of Holies of Sacred Geometry because it's hidden within the ancient and well-known Flower of Life pattern. The fruit of life is composed of 13 spheres; this is actually the 2d representation of a 3d structure, thirteen represents unity and transition between worlds / dimensions. Those of you who play an instrument know the chromatic scale of 12 notes the thirteenth note is actually repeating the first note but on a higher frequency; when you attain a higher octave, you enter a higher dimension. If we connect all the Centers of the 13 circles the result is 78 lines which create a structure known as Metatron's Cube. This structure contains all five platonic solids, these three-dimensional figures and their different combinations reveal every possible geometric law forming the physical reality we are experiencing. The spheres of the Fruit of Life represent the female movements or elements of creation and provide the field for the 78 ray like male movements of creation. The geometry of Metatron's Cube is set to underlie what modern physics calls the quantum vacuum or void and is fundamental to the creation process at the quantum level. What we're talking about here is what's been called zero-point, life force or bio force energy. The crux is the central piece, integrating “one,” the sun stands as the Sustainer of Life, suspending the Seeds of

Life that stands for the Six planners in the solar system.

With the Flower of life representing the twelve parts of the Zodiac. It is these composite parts that stand for the cosmic sense that birthed it. The circles denote spheres in a 3-dimensional form. It is the feminine dynamism or the basis of creation. This offers the grounds for “Metatron’s Cube that hosts the Platonic Solids. They are made from the lines that stand for the 78 arrays of a masculine pattern of creation. This arrangement underscore what contemporary physics tags the Quantum Vacuum or Emptiness. And is basic to the development process at the quantum stage. It respects the ordered pattern of creation and the rewards of our labor. Most accounts and prognostications have been borne out of the cosmic relationship between the Sun, Moon and the Earth. The invention of calendar and time is a priceless gift to humanity.

More practically, the message in it is that of organizing and preparing oneself. It is essential to be conscious of one’s surrounding and discover what must move to aid one go forward. It teaches us to share our aspirations with those that can assist in making it a reality. This pattern is very important to humans because of the potential benefits it presents. It encourages us to keep aspiring and pursuing our goals. While aligning our thoughts with those that can help us achieve them.

Metatron’s Cube:

One of the most fascinating aspects of sacred geometry is the symbol known as Metatron’s Cube. So, who is Metatron? If you investigate, Metatron was an archangel who was mentioned in Islamic, Judaic and Christian medieval mythologies. He was considered to be the scribe of God; this would make him the equivalent of the ancient Egyptian scribes of the gods known as Thoth. According to legend a scribe of God would understand the basic principles of creation which are almost always associated with sacred geometry. Many times, the Archangel Metatron is pictured with or holding a cube.  The graphic known as Metatron’s Cube didn’t show up until later when a Medieval Italian Mathematician Leonardo Pisano, discovered Metatron’s Cube. He read the history and legends of Metatron and was also familiar with sacred geometry and was probably an initiate in one of the schools that held those secrets.

Metatron’s Cube traces back to nature's first pattern, and the 13 circles that are found inside the fourth circle in Nature’s first pattern. When you connect the centers of all the 13 circles, you get the shape known as Metatron’s Cube. Leonardo Pisano also discovered that you could create all 5 of the platonic solids within Metatron’s Cube. Metatron’s Cube is a transcendental form and beautifully illustrates the mental universe through the unfolding of 2-dimensional realities into 3 dimensional realities The Hermetic axiom reads “all is mind, the universe is mental” and Metatron’s Cube is teaching us about this conceptual mental nature of the universe and the current experiments in quantum physics are also teaching us this exact same thing. Without first being a conceptual equivalent in consciousness nothing could exist. Sacred geometry is the creator’s conceptual architecture on which all things precipitate.

·         A mystical 3-dimension cube used by the Archangel Metatron to watch over the flow of energy connecting earth and the divine contains all 5 Platonic Solids hidden inside, symbolizing the underlying patterns of our universe  spins with energy to help you replace negative thoughts with positive ones  reminds us that the universe wants us to discover our personal power and use it to do good Metatron's cube contains every shape that exists in the universe God has created, and those shapes are the building blocks of all physical matter. They are known as Platonic solids because the philosopher Plato linked them to the spirit world of heaven and the physical elements on Earth. Those three-dimensional shapes appear throughout creation, in all everything from crystals to human DNA. People can derive inspiration from Metatron's cube in sacred geometry and also use it for personal transformation.

The Grid of Life:

The star tetrahedron is the basis of the 64 grid tetrahedron also known as the Grid of Life. This is the masculine equivalent to the Flower of Life pattern. As the name suggests, this shape is made up of 64 tetrahedrons. Which is one of the platonic solids. When the 64-tetrahedron is overlaid on the flower of life this represents a powerful concept; the spheres represent space and the lines represent where space and time come together.

One of the most fascinating aspects of the 64 tetrahedron is the number 64 itself and how it appears throughout the natural world.

Here are a few examples:

  • There are 64 codons in human DNA
  • 64 is the number of cells we have before the cells start to bifurcate (differentiate) after conception.
  • 64 is the fundamental number in computer memory and bits of code
  • 64 is encoded in the Tetragrammaton within the Hebrew Bible, which is the four letter theonym YHWH that means God in Hebrew.
  • 64 is the number of generations from Adam until Jesus
  • 64 manifestations of Lord Shiva in Hinduism
  • 64 squares in chess and checker boards
  • 64 hexagrams in the I Ching
  • 64 tantras which is a form of Hinduism
  • 64 is the maximum number of strokes in any Chinese character

This metaphysical symbol can produce many trees of life which radiate inward, this is why the 64 tetrahedron is symbolic of linking up one’s individual paths in harmony with our soul family. It is said that connecting with your soul / star family will amplify each individual's energy to accomplish and manifest one's goals. A true symbol of the mastermind principle of harmony with among a group of individuals.

Vector Equilibrium 1:

The Greeks were fascinated with regular forms whose faces were all the same, such as the cube. However, they failed to understand the delicate balancing act the cuboctahedron symbolizes. The Greeks never really comprehended the energetic properties of Vector Equilibrium, i.e., dynamic stability. They had a static, non-relativistic view of natural philosophy. Plato, Archimedes, and the Pythagoreans based much of their philosophical speculation around the nature of geometrical forms suggesting that mathematics and structural forms had substantial validity.

Throughout the centuries, various geometrical forms have been revered as expressions or metaphors of higher spiritual truths. These sacred forms and symbols are a natural part of the collective consciousness which emerges in every generation. We project them outwardly from within our psyche because they are so fundamental to our existence. This geometry lies within us all, it is part of the surrealistic quantum realm. The void state, or primal matrix, is "cosmic zero," and proportionately our most fundamental reality. The notion of the eternal nature of sacred geometry is echoed in modern quantum theory.  The central concept in Quantum Field Theory is that of the matrix:

All matter is not separate from its surrounding space. The matrix can take the form of quanta or particles. This quantum field is our fundamental physical entity and reality. In R. Buckminster Fuller's geometrical tour de force, SYNERGETICS I & II. He demonstrates, that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, because of the relativity of forces. The so-called "cosmic zero" was modeled by geometer/philosopher Fuller in the figure he called Vector Equilibrium. It might actually claim to be the first "Buckyball," the one Fuller himself described. Fuller asserted that, "zero pulsation in the Vector Equilibrium is the nearest approach we will ever know to eternity and god."

The Vector Equilibrium center is primal "emptiness." It is a mathematical anomaly where the normal laws of the space & time continuum break down. It is not a symbol of ultimate order. It looks like a very rational, orderly system, but it is ultimately irrational. It defies logic. Vector Equilibrium is the breeder of wave-particle duality and has the uncertainty principle, of non-locality at the quantum level. According to Fuller, it is a zone of neutral resonance where waves can pass through waves without interference. Yet, it never physically exists as a structure because nature abhors a vacuum. Vector Equilibrium emanates/condenses from a center in twelve fundamental directions. This emergent energy moves outward through space & time in the form of a cuboctahedron, alternating with its mathematical reciprocal, an octahedron-within-a-cube. It is a truncated cube with 50 symmetrically positioned topological features. Vector Equilibrium has the same surface area as a sphere, yet contains no volume, i.e., it contains "nothing."

The Vector Equilibrium system has 12 vertices, 8 triangular faces, 24 edges, and 32 planes. It is an omnidirectional equilibrium symbolically and physically speaking. Thus, it is a perfect symbol for "holding the tension of the opposites," or "uniting the opposites." Yet, it is more than a metaphor. It is an archetypal image which connects the matrix with the universe or the universe with the matrix.

In the Vector Equilibrium figure, equilibrium between positive and negative is zero. It is the equalization of the forces of push/pull, radiation/gravitation, or tension/compression. Fuller stated it "represents the limits of the mind's ability to conceptualize 'in'." For Fuller, all of space & time is intertwined with a pre-geometric matrix, which is the infinite field of vector equilibria. An entire universe can be seeded from one Vector Equilibrium, self-generating to fill all space & time. According to Fuller, there may be no ultimate physical building-block of matter, but there is one single entity that intertwines and composes everything in the universe, Vector Equilibrium.

Vector Equilibrium 2:

The underlying structure of the torus is the Vector Equilibrium, or “VE”. It is the blueprint by which nature forms energy into matter. Buckminster Fuller, one of the 20th Century’s most prolific inventors, coined the term Vector Equilibrium. He named it this because the “VE” is the only geometric form where all forces are equal and balanced. The energy lines (vectors) are of equal length and strength. They represent the energy of attraction and repulsion, like you can feel with a magnet. You can’t actually observe the “VE” in the material world because it is the geometry of absolute balance. What we experience on Earth is always expanding toward and contracting away from absolute equilibrium. Like a wave arising from the surface of a tranquil sea, a material form is born (unfolds) from the plenum (fullness) of energy (ironically referred to by physicists as “the vacuum!”) and dies (enfolds) back into it.

The VE is like the imaginable – yet invisible – mother of all the shapes and symmetries we see in the world. The evolutionary man has been searching for answers to the deepest questions to how the cosmos exists and functions; fundamental patterns repeat themselves and how energy works in the universe. This pattern at its most basic level is called a "Torus", which resembles an apple and a red cell format. The underlying structure is the torus Vector Equilibrium (VE), and is therefore considered the primary geometric structure in the cosmos, and synonymous with absolute balance. The lines of the vortex torus can be decoded from the rotation of a sign ancestor known today as Seed of Life. From it one can extract the basic geometric shapes, proportions VE, the Flower of Life and all its unfolding geometric complex levels.

In the ancient world, this concept and wisdom was known, studied and explored by many people, Left Ventricular (LV) of the VE is carved in stone on Mount Qingcheng, one of the four sacred mountains of China, considered the birthplace of the most important Taoism, its history dating back at least 2300 years ago. In the east there is a relationship of Vector Equilibrium with traditional medicine, to map the system of energy meridians of the human body that are used for acupuncture. With its proportions and diagonal lines, all symmetric, it is possible to construct the tree of life, based on the study of Jewish Kaballah. To the Egyptians the Vector Equilibrium (VE) was regarded as the mother of all symmetric geometry – the invisible fabric of space. There are even those who say that the three pyramids are an offshoot of this geometry, a fact entirely possible, since with Extraordinary Voight (EV) geometry it is possible to make proportional replicas of various pyramids where the top of the pyramid is the point in the center point of the Left Ventricular (LV) geometry.

The Greek philosopher, Plato studied the fundamental pattern of the universe in a deep way, inherited part of the knowledge from the Egyptians and other ancient cultures. He founded the 5 basic constituent units of the material universe we know, which are the famous 5 Platonic solids – tetrahedron, hexahedron, octahedron, dodecahedron and icosahedron. From the truncation of the 5 Platonic solids, we get 13 solids of Archimedes. In basic Euclidean geometry the Vector Equilibrium (VE) is called cuboctahedron and is one of the solids of Archimedes, which was also studied and explored by the mathematician, inventor and Greek philosopher. In the Middle Ages much of the knowledge of the Greek philosophers was lost, including the knowledge about the solid Archimedes, which were recovered gradually only in the Renaissance. Leonardo da Vinci studied and explored the Flower of Life. His drawings depict various components of the model and the geometries found within it. Dr. Derald Langham was an American geneticist farmer and researcher of the mid-twentieth century who noted the importance of geometry which he called Genesa Crystal, the spherical shape of the Vector Equilibrium (VE), and realized that plants are best developed near these structures made of strips of copper or brass. At the time, although the results were discredited and his research had little impact and were eventually suppressed. Today modern quantum physics has proven that the Vector Equilibrium (VE) form with an underlying unified field structure, resonates with it and ends up creating a bubble of coherence and harmony, which reduces the stress of the environment and optimizes the development beings, including plants.

The Torus:

The shape known as a 'Torus’ is a type of vortex. So, what is a torus? The word “torus” comes from the Latin word meaning swelling. In sacred geometry it is the first shape to emerge from the Genesis Pattern. The torus is found in everything from atoms, to life forms and even in all cosmic bodies such as stars and galaxies. It is a primary shape in existence. For many years ‘seers’ have taught that the human aura appears as a series of nested torus formations around the body. Energy flows through the center of the body and loops around to connect the feet and head. The flow from the feet to the head is bi-directional. The energy is flowing through the surface of the torus and inside an in a spiraling pattern, this is why the sacred geometry shape is shown with curves lines throughout the middle, while also adding the illusion of a 3d perspective to the 2d depiction.

The Torus is a 2d depiction of a 3-dimensional shape, like many other sacred geometry forms. The 3d shape is known as a horn torus. The image of the Torus explains how something starts as a descent from spirit, or an ascent from matter, through a central channel or tube of light/energy/consciousness. The energy of the object can only go so far in one direction before it doubles back on itself, returning to its source, gaining energy, going forward again, achieving a certain height or depth, before needing to return again to gather more from source.

This is a process that occurs in all objects in existence, eventually. An object can go only so far in its ascent/descent before the opposite polarity pulls it back to itself. When our human existence is functioning correctly, and we are cycling energy in a toroidal fashion, we are in balance, and are satisfied with our actions (although we may be aspiring to achieve something, we are content with the process we are undertaking). When a person or situation is not in harmony with universal energy – such as a sociopath like Hitler – then eventually the energy stops flowing, and the situation becomes “stuck” and unhealthy – there is no movement going on. Eventually the universe corrects itself. It might not occur in a person’s current lifetime, but the situation will re-appear in a future lifetime and they will have to work through the situation until they have resolved how to behave in a balanced, compassionate, detached manner in which both spirit and matter are in harmony.

The Merkabah Star:

The Merkabah symbol translates to light, spirit, body. The symbol consists of 2 intersecting tetrahedrons that rotate in opposite directions, this creates an energy field that is commonly referred to as a light body. Merkabah mysticism is an early school of Judaism, practiced between 100 BCE - 1000 CE. The teachings were based on visions found in the Book of Ezekiel and hekhalot literature. These stories speak of ascents into the heavens and to the Throne of God. Everyone has access to their own personal Merkabah or vehicle of light with practice in meditation. It is said that once one has access to their Merkabah it can provide a powerful protection and transport your consciousness to higher dimensions. The Merkavah symbol can remind us of the potential power we hold when we unite our bodies energy to Source.

This symbol combines opposing energies in perfect harmony and has allegedly been used by ascended masters to connect to higher realms.  In modern esoteric teachings, the Merkabah is considered an interdimensional vehicle. It is also known as a star tetrahedron and can be imagined as a 3-dimensional Star of David. The word Merkabah comes from a Hebrew word which means "chariot", & when broken down phonetically means "light, body, spirit" from an ancient Egyptian translation. If you consider both meanings, it essentially refers to a way of connecting with light, body, and spirit through the means of this 'vehicle' or symbol. As opposed to some of the other symbols we have explored, such as the Sri Yantra symbol, this one is more rooted in Jewish and Christian tradition.

If we consider some similar concepts and symbols from Christianity, the three elements of the word can be likened to the three aspects of the holy trinity. If you'd like to visualize this symbol in concrete mathematical terms, the Merkabah is a three-dimensional symbol which is made up of two triangles that face opposite directions and connect or overlap at the center. The bottom triangle represents femininity and rotates in a counter-clockwise direction, and the top relates to masculinity and rotates in a clockwise direction, all simultaneously. The design looks like a six-pointed star when looked at from a two-dimensional perspective. So, what is the Merkabah and what does it entail? To explain this, it's helpful to note that this symbol or concept has roots that are evident in ancient scripts like the Bible and seems to have been inspired by visions and experiences that biblical figures like Ezekiel had of connecting with celestial beings (which is talked about in the Book of Ezekiel, and other sacred Jewish texts).

From a Chassidic Jewish perspective, the Merkabah is more about having a multi-layered approach to the nature of man, the world and the ecosystem, and sees this symbol as a means to contemplating a way to become better as people. Interestingly, the Merkabah symbol also closely resembles another symbol in Jewish religious tradition, the Star of David. Even if the religious aspect doesn’t necessarily resonate with everyone reading this, this symbol can be used in meditation to access higher realms of consciousness and to create a protective forcefield around oneself. One recommendation is to visualize this shape surrounding you while you are meditating, which can take some practice but is said to be able to raise your vibration. With the balance of the spinning triangles, the energetic force field that is created is very powerful, and can help you gain valuable spiritual insights and even travel interdimensionally.

In addition to connecting with higher realms, the use of this symbol, when combined with meditation and breathing techniques, can also help you to access your personal power. While spinning in different directions, the two three-dimensional triangles make up a Merkabah star that is simultaneously pulling power up from the earth (feminine) and drawing energy down from the heavens (masculine). This combination of forces is said to bring about balance through the energy field that it creates. If we think about the energetic power of an actual star in the universe, this becomes an even more inspiring symbol.

Crystal Salt Lamps

At Rare Earth Gallery, we offer a wide array of Crystal salt lamps, that come in all different shapes and sizes. Crystal salt lamps produce effects similar to those of the sole ionizer, although on a smaller scale. However, crystal salt lamps have big advantages, in many aspects, and not only for cleaning the environment of space. Sitting in front of televisions or computer monitors, we are bombarded with an

electromagnetic frequency of around 100 to 160 Hz. (Hertz). Our brainwaves, however, vibrate at around 8 Hz., a rate that equals the Schuhmann Resonance-Frequency. This means that while watching TV or working at the computer, our body is exposed to frequencies that vibrate up to twenty times faster than our brainwaves. The result is a lack of concentration, nervousness, and insomnia. Furthermore, the body produces additional free radicals that, amongst other things, can cause cancer. Crystal salt lamps bind the excessive positive ions with their negative ions. When they warm up, they attract humidity and the surface of the salt crystal becomes moist. This causes a field of ions to build up. Crystal-salt lamps can also neutralize the electro-smog in a room. Additionally, the various colors of the lamp have positive effects. The therapeutic wavelengths of the colors of these crystals fall within the upper nanometer zone (600 to 700 nanometers), which are visible to our eyes and effect a reorganization of the epidermal layer of the skin. The frequencies of this upper nanometer zone are also used in allopathic medicine for treating skin cancer. Furthermore, tests on hyperactive children with concentration and sleeping disorders (ADHD symptoms) have shown that using crystal salt lamps drastically reduces their symptoms after only one week. When the lamps were removed, their symptoms returned.

The Influence of Colors on the Body and the Psyche

Orange: Conveys a feeling of security, has a positive effect on nerves, our

constitution, and our mood, and activates the kidneys and bladder.

Yellow: Promotes awareness & intelligence, stimulates pancreas, liver, gallbladder.

Red: Strengthens vitality, activates heart and circulation.

Pink: Supports the sense of partnership and love and opens our emotional body.

White: Promotes cleansing, detoxing, healing.

Brown: Helps found our center, is Grounding, and promotes our connection to the Earth.

Ammolite or Ammonite?

🌀Ammolite vs Ammonite

An Ammonite is the commonly used word describing ammonoids. Ammonoids were a large and diverse group of sea creatures similar to cephalopods like cuttlefish, squids, octopuses and even the modern Nautilus. With tentacles like a squid and a multi-chambered shell, these were the most diverse and widely found creatures on earth from the Antarctic to the Great Plains. There have been over 10,000 species of different ammonites over time and they have even survived two of earth's three major extinction events, unfortunately the last one 66 million years ago killed off their main food source, marine plankton.

Due to their longevity and unique suture connections, ammonites are a great index fossil. Index fossils help to age and date other fossils, especially if they're in the same marine rock.

Ammolite is when the fossil is opalized and gives them an iridescent sheen of red, blue, orange and more. When the Ammonite shell fossilizes the shell can form Ammolite on the outside.

Spiritually Ammonites or Ammolites are very powerful earth healing fossils. The spiral shape symbolizes continual change and evolution. Ammonites stimulate the life force (Chi) within humans. Ammonites are often used for activating Kundalini and life path energies. The Ammonite is also often recommended to put in the home to attract health, prosperity and success.

Scolecite

Scolecite

Scolecite is a hydrous calcium aluminum silicate that is a member of the Zeolite family. It is a secondary crystal that forms in cavities of basalt, granite and syenites. Its name was derived from the Greek word “Worm”. Scolecite is formed in slender prismatic crystals and is also found in abundance in large masses. It ranges in color from white, pink, purple, yellow and red to even colorless. Scolecite can be found in very rare crystal formations in Iceland and very few parts of India, but can be found in masses all across the globe. Scolecite is a stone of “inner peace” and will be the perfect remedy for anyone looking to relax, especially after a long day. The crystal activates our upper chakras and is commonly used as a meditation tool. Scolecite is a powerful rebalancing stone, especially for people who have spent a large amount of time in high-energy environments. In Chinese philosophy, Scolecite is associated with yin energy, in contrast to yang energy.

The 7 Chakras

What are Chakras?

Chakra is a Sanskrit word literally meaning wheel or circle, and it originates from the ancient Indian yoga system and the philosophy of Tantra. Chakras can be best described as the vortexes of energy located vertically along the spine, and they correspond to the spinal plexuses in the physical body. In your physical body, there are seven major chakras. Each chakra appears like a wheel of light that spins in a clockwise direction at a different speed. What is the spiritual importance of chakras? All of your seven chakras shape your entire spiritual anatomy. Chakras are important elements on your spiritual path, and understanding them will allow you to integrate your mind, body, and spirit in a better way. Chakras can be viewed as the seven doors to higher consciousness that will allow you to ascend and better understand your full potential. Imagine your body as a vehicle of consciousness. The chakras can be viewed as the wheels of life that can move your vehicle in the direction of enlightenment. Chakras are also known as lotuses, and each chakra symbol is portrayed with a different number of petals, which are the expression of their vibratory frequency:

  • Root Chakra has 4 petals
  • Sacral Chakra has 6 petals
  • Solar Plexus Chakra has 10 petals
  • Heart Chakra has 12 petals
  • Throat Chakra has 16 petals
  • Third Eye Chakra has 2 petals
  • Crown Chakra has 1,000 petals

Lotus is a sacred Indian flower, which can only grow in the mud and whose petals open one by one. Our chakras behave just like petals of lotus flowers: they can be opened or closed depending on the state of consciousness.

    ·    Chakra 1 - Root Chakra | Muladhara - Located at the base of the spine. It is associated with energy, survival, stability, comfort and safety. Its element is earth.

   ·     Chakra 2 - Sacral Chakra | Svadhishthana - Located in the lower abdomen. It is associated with sensuality, sexuality, pleasure, sociability and emotions. Its element is water.

   ·     Chakra 3 - Solar Plexus Chakra | Manipura - Located in the navel area. It is associated with strength, personality, power, determination and self-esteem. Its element is fire.

  ·      Chakra 4 - Heart Chakra | Anahata - Located in the middle of the chest, over the sternum. It is associated with love, acceptance, compassion and sincerity. Its element is air.

  ·    Chakra 5 - Throat Chakra | Vishuddha - Located in the throat area. It is associated with communication, expression, creativity and inspiration. Its element is ether / sound.

  ·    Chakra 6 - Third Eye Chakra | Ajna - Located in the middle of the forehead. It is associated with intuition, lucidity, meditation and trust. Its element is light.

  ·    Chakra 7 - Crown Chakra | Sahasrara - Located at the top of the head. It is associated with knowledge, consciousness, fulfilment and spirituality. Its element is thought.

Do you want to know the best part? The colors of the 7 chakras correspond to the seven colors of the rainbow, and they are called the spectrum of white light. Colors of the rainbow always appear in a specific order (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet) when the water droplets disperse sunlight.

Crown Chakra

The crown chakra, or sahasrāra chakra in Sanskrit, is known as “the bridge to the cosmos.” It is the most spiritual in nature of all seven chakras. Located above the crown of the head, it acts as the individual’s center of spirit, enlightenment, wisdom, universal consciousness, and connection to higher guidance. In a sense, the crown chakra is our highest potential. It governs interaction & communication with the universe, one’s senses of inspiration & devotion, union with the higher self & the divine, and deeper understanding; simultaneously, it is responsible for a healthy spiritual life. Some people like to think of the crown chakra as a kind of umbilical cord to the divine, whereby we as human beings are connected to the oneness of all things. Because of this direct connection, it is important that we do not conceptualize ourselves as being completely separated from the divine; instead, that greater universal force is merely a larger expansion of the same energy which makes us up, too. The crown chakra allows for the experiences of unity and universal connectedness, as well as the integration of the whole. It has a masculine energy and is represented by the color violet, or sometimes white, while its symbol is a circle with one thousand petals. Elementally, it is associated with thought and silence, and its mantra is, “I know.” Use these crystals to activate your Crown Chakra: Clear Quartz, Moonstone, Amethyst, Labradorite, Howlite, Ametrine & Selenite.

Third Eye Chakra

The third eye chakra, or ajna chakra in Sanskrit, is known as “the seat of intuition.” Translations of the Sanskrit name include, “perceive,” “beyond wisdom,” and “command.” Located in the center of the forehead, it acts as the individual’s center of wisdom, conscience, and higher consciousness. The third eye allows for clear thought, spiritual contemplation, and self-reflection. It is the highest chakra in the physical body, allowing it to provide visionary perspective. The third eye also helps to determine one’s reality and beliefs based on what one chooses to see in the world. The third eye chakra has a feminine energy. It is symbolized by the color indigo and an upside-down triangle and lotus flower. Elementally, it is associated with light, although some argue that the third eye is associated not with any specific element, but with everythingness. Its mantra is, “I see.” Use these crystals to activate your Third Eye Chakra: Sodalite, Lapis Lazuli, Azurite, Sapphire, Amethyst, Angelite, Celestite, Kyanite & Calcite.

Throat Chakra

The throat chakra, or vishuddha chakra in Sanskrit, is located at the center of the neck. It acts as the individual’s force of expression and individual truth, both internally and externally. A balanced throat chakra helps to set us free from the fear of judgement or need for approval from others. This chakra helps us to embrace our originality and unique individual experiences in the world. It is also associated with purity, thus connecting it to the concept of truth. The throat chakra is responsible for communication, the expression of thoughts, feelings, and ideas, a healthy internal dialogue, and striking a balance between speaking and listening, as well as the seeking and sharing of truth, social skills, and personal integrity and honor. It also works closely with the sacral chakra: while the sacral chakra governs creativity, it is the throat chakra that allows the individual to express those creative ideas, rather than stifling them for fear of others’ opinions. The throat chakra has a masculine energy and is symbolized by a blue 16-petaled flower. Elementally, it is associated with sound, and its mantra is, “I speak.” Use these crystals to activate your Throat Chakra: Turquoise, Blue Lace Agate, Aquamarine, Kyanite, Aqua Aura, Blue Apatite, Larimar, & Chryscolla.

Heart Chakra

The heart chakra, or anahata chakra in Sanskrit, is located at the center of the spine at heart level. Anahata roughly translates to, “unhurt.” Accordingly, the heart chakra acts as the individual’s center of compassion, empathy, love, and forgiveness. This chakra governs one’s senses of trust, fearlessness, peace, generosity, gratitude, and connectedness, as well as change and transformation, healthy boundaries, depth in relationships with others, emotional control, and love for oneself. The heart chakra has a feminine energy and is symbolized by a green six-pointed star within a 12-petaled flower. Elementally, the heart chakra is associated with air, and its mantra is, “I love.” The heart chakra is special because it is the fourth of the seven chakras, making it the exact halfway point of the system and the unifier of the physical and spiritual chakras. By connecting the lower three chakras — the root, sacral, and solar plexus — with the upper three chakras — the throat, third eye, and crown — the heart chakra acts as the bridge between the earth and spirit. Use these crystals to activate your Heart Chakra: Rose Quartz, Rhodonite, Green Agate, Amazonite, Green Opal, Jade, Peridot, Aventurine & Chrysoprase.

Solar Plexus Chakra

The solar plexus chakra, or Manipura in Sanskrit, translates to, “city of jewels.” Located in the upper belly at the diaphragm, it acts as the center of personal power. This chakra governs personality, ego, and identity, as well as personal freedom, choice, and authenticity. The solar plexus chakra also has much to do with motivation, willpower, and purpose, which stem from one’s sense of personal efficacy. Self-confidence and view of the self-connect to the solar plexus chakra, as well. Furthermore, this chakra governs the digestive system and its respective organs; as a result, it has jurisdiction over both the gut’s emotional brain and stored emotions. The solar plexus chakra has a masculine energy and is symbolized by the color yellow (and/or gold) and by a downward-pointing triangle within a ten-petaled flower. Elementally, the solar plexus chakra is associated with fire (as well as the sun) and its mantra is, “I can.” (Accordingly, manifestation work connects to this chakra specifically.) Use these crystals to activate your Solar Plexus Chakra: Citrine, Topaz, Fire Opal, Honey Amber, Tiger's Eye, Pyrite, Sunstone, Aragonite & Golden Labradorite.

Sacral Chakra

The sacral chakra, or swadisthana chakra in Sanskrit, has received the nicknames, “the social chakra,” and “the creation chakra.” Located in the center of the lower belly or, as some believe, in the genital area, it acts as the individual’s center of pleasure and passion — both sensually and creatively. This chakra governs reproductive systems and processes, sexuality, relationships, emotions, and sense of adventure. In fact, at its most broad, the sacral chakra simply governs passion and pleasure, phenomena which manifest themselves in our lives via two avenues. On one side is creativity and zeal for life — think of finding enjoyment by creating something like a piece of art, a recipe, or even a business, as well as just having fun in life. On the other side is sensuality, in the sense of embracing one’s own natural human sexuality. The sacral chakra has a feminine energy and is symbolized by a flower and crescent moon. Elementally, the sacral chakra is associated with water, and its mantra is, “I feel.” Use these crystals to activate your Sacral Chakra: Carnelian, Red Tiger's Eye, Stilbite, Citrine, Golden Topaz, Orange Calcite & Cognac Amber.

Root Chakra

The root chakra, or mūlādhāra chakra in Sanskrit, is known as “the root of all things.” Located at the base of the spine at about tailbone-level, it acts as the individual’s center of emotional and spiritual balance, as well as instinctual consciousness. At its most basic level, the root chakra is concerned with needs. It governs one’s senses of stability, safety, strength, and commitment and is responsible for self-preservation and feeling grounded. While the root chakra is evolutionarily tied to those basic instincts that help us survive, modern day has connected this chakra more to the business of helping us thrive. Moving beyond just food, water, and shelter, the domain of the root chakra has come to include concepts like health, wealth, and community. Day-to-day feelings of trust, belonging, and being present are governed by the root chakra. The root chakra is especially important to the chakra energy system because a lack of “roots” can compromise the integrity of all the other chakras, directly affecting the wellbeing of the entire body, mind, and spirit. Only when we feel that our most essential needs are met can we focus on growing. The root chakra is also believed to be connected with Kundalini, or cosmic energy force which can be awakened and moved up the spine through the other chakras. Within the chakra system, the root chakra has a masculine energy and is symbolized by a red lotus with four petals. Elementally, it is associated with the earth, and its mantra is, “I have.” Use these crystals to activate your Root Chakra: Red Coral, Red Jasper, Black Obsidian, Bloodstone, Tourmaline, Red Carnelian, Garnet & Black Onyx.

Crystal shapes: their meanings and uses

Crystal shapes and their meanings

There are so many different shapes of crystals and each with their own meanings! We are all aware of the variety of shapes crystals and stones can come in, and while they are all beautiful and aesthetic in their own way, there is so much more to each shape in regards to their meaning, energy output, and usage. I’m going to tell you guys about the majority of all shapes on the market in hopes to better your understanding of them and help you decide what shape is best for you and your needs. Personally, I go through different phases of what I’m drawn to—sometimes I only want to buy towers and sometimes I’m only buying palm stones, it’s all up to what you need in the moment. After reading this, I suggest tuning into your intuition to see what you are drawn to when trying to decide what shape you should pick.

Points:

Points have a very focused and directional energy output, it flows upward and out, while affecting the area around it as well as any other crystals that are nearby. Points are great for amplification and keeping you sharp and on-point. It’s your BFF when you need to stay super focused! So, keep a crystal point at your office, on your desk or just with you at school or work when you have a fully booked day and need to stay on track. Put whatever intentions you need into your crystal point and watch as those intentions manifest throughout your day. You can also write down a mantra, affirmation or desire on a piece of paper, fold the piece of paper into a point and put it on the top of your crystal point. This acts as a pyramid, directing all the energy from the intention on the paper upward into the cosmos and radiating out into the surrounding environment. You could also Feng Sui a room, one example of this would be placing a tower in each corner of a room to create a vortex of energy.

Pyramids:

Pyramids connect energy from the crown to root chakra and transmit intentions to the universe. They are known for aiding in manifestation, removing blockages and focusing energy. The pyramid shape is a tetrahedron in sacred geometry and its main function is assisting with manifestation. The cool thing about this shape is the contrasting yet harmonious output of energy that is at work within the shape. The solid structure base, much like a cube, has a very grounded and stabilized energy, while still allowing energy to directly flow out of the point. You can also use pyramids to Feng Shui your home. It’s useful to set a particular intention to correlate with the type of crystal or stone you have. For instance, a Lepidolite pyramid in your bedroom for restful sleep. Or maybe a Rose Quartz pyramid in your bathroom or bedroom for self-love, a Fluorite pyramid on your desk, or Shungite or Green Aventurine near a TV for EMF protection. Holding a pyramid allows life force energy to come into the tip of the pyramid and then ground within and stabilize you.

Spheres:

Spheres emit energy from all sides, creating a very balanced and gentle flow of energy in the atmosphere around it. They provide us with an overall feeling of stability, harmony and unity since their energy is very balancing. A crystal sphere also represents the circle of life, bringing in life force energy and wholeness. A spheres energy has a child-like innocence about it and they bring a whimsical, playful element to our lives. Spheres are useful in meditation, connecting you to life force energy and bringing harmony. They also are good for cleansing other crystals, use a Carnelian, Clear Quartz or Selenite sphere to clear your other crystals. You can also program your sphere with a certain intention to release energy wherever it is placed. Massage therapy is a very popular use of crystal spheres as well, with their smooth, rounded shape and metaphysical properties of what stone it is made out of create the perfect device for releasing pent up energy stuck in the body.

Egg:

Crystal eggs emit a very feminine energy and they support transformation and balance. Eggs have the ability to unlock unconscious energy, they help us become aware of energy imbalances or suppressed emotions while supporting us in healing them. Eggs emit energy in a similar way to spheres, their energy flows in all directions with a stronger focal point at the top. The egg is a sing of fertility and life, it also aids in personal transformation, staring fresh, new beginnings and creating the best version of yourself. Program your crystal egg to help you in a new journey, whether it be moving to a new place, starting a new job, starting a personal transformation, breaking a bad habit or making new good ones. Be sure to set your intention of what you want it to support before using it for manifestation and specific intentions.

Wands:

Wands are used for healing rituals; they allow energy to flow and be directed. Wands can be helpful in removing negative energy while also bringing in healing energy. It absorbs and transforms that negative energy into whatever type of energy the crystal it’s made out of emits most dominantly. So, if it was a Citrine wand, it would transform any negative energy into prosperous and wealthy energy, or if it was an Amethyst wand, it would bring in a very calming and peaceful energy. My favorite types of crystals for this are ones that have the ability to transmute negative energy, such as Kyanite, Citrine, Black Tourmaline, or Carnelian. Not only are you able to release that which no longer serves you, but you are also being revitalized with cleansed and refreshed energy back into your being. They are also a great tool to charge your other crystals with healing energy and depending on what type of crystal it is made of; wands can bring any type of energy or intention into those crystals. This shape provides a connecting bridge between two energy points, making the crystal radiate or absorb energy simultaneously at both ends, channeling it in two directions at once.

Palm Stones & Worry Stones:

Palm stones allow a balanced stone to skin energy transfers, they are known to reduce stress, calm the nerves and are perfect to hold during meditation. They provide a stable energy point that you can hold onto while in stressful situations, while relaxing or meditating to bring in the energy output of the stone it’s made of. Another way to absorb and transmute the energy of a palm stone is sleeping with them, I would suggest you get an Amethyst palm stone if you are keeping it by your bedside or next to your pillow to help you sleep. Amethyst is known to help with insomnia and aids in helping you get a deeper and more peaceful sleep. Worry stones or thumb stones are smaller in size and sometimes have a slight indentation on one side of the stone, where your thumb would stay. Because of their convenient size they are great to keep in your pocket or in your bag when you are on the go. Many people, including myself, use these worry stones as fidgeting devices and are great for stress and anxiety relief. I have a family friend, whom I never knew to believe in crystals, who has a small fluorite worry stone. He is an older gentleman who is a blue-collar worker and a die-hard cowboy from southern Arizona, I judged the book by its cover with him and didn’t think he believed in my crystal-energy stuff, but it was such a pleasant surprise to see his face light up as he told me how he would rub his thumb on his worry stone whenever he felt stressed or anxious and he was so very proud to tell me that it made him feel better every single time! After that I decided that I would keep a small worry stone on me at all times to keep my anxiety at ease. Worry stones are great for anybody who has social anxiety, likes to fidget or overthinks too much. Just focus on your worry stone, feel how the stone becomes warm from your body temperature as you hold it and watch as your stress melts away as you direct your focus and energy on your stone.

Hearts:

Hearts have a soft, loving output of energy. They send love across the space and time as well as aid in healing the heart chakra. They are similar to palm stones, just in a heart shape. They connect with the energy of the heart chakra and emit their energy on a loving, gentle manner while giving us a sense of peace and harmony. Some of the best stones to have in a heart shape would be Rose Quartz, Rhodonite, Smoky Quartz and Ruby Zoisite. Each of those stones are known for emitting energies of self-love and positive energy. Programming your crystal heart with specific intentions is the best way to receive the kind of loving energy that you need. You know your needs more than anyone else, meditate with your crystal heart and become familiar with its energy. Once you connect with it, you can program it with the intentions you see fit.

Tumbled Stones:

Tumbled stones emit a very gentle flow of energy, this is the most common cut, and surely for a reason; it is practical! Tumbled stones can easily be carried with you wherever you go, in your wallet, your purse, your pocket. Don’t be fooled by the size of these stones. Their practicality is actually what makes them so powerful! Having one or more of these crystals always with you helps you in connecting with their energy, all day long. Having them so close, and maybe even touching you directly, can act as a reminder of your intention. Think of them as a reminder or alarm on your phone, every time you remember them that they are with you, you also remember and connect with their energies. My favorite tumbled stones to always have on me are Emerald for new opportunities, Carnelian for courage and confidence, Shungite for EMF protection, Fluorite for mental clarity and Chrome Diopside for connection to nature. Everyone is different and need different energies in their daily lives, so research what kind of tumbled stones would be best for you and go for it! At the Rare Earth Gallery, we have an extremely large variety of tumbled stones in store and online, don’t hesitate to come in store and see our great gallery and pick up some of your favorite types of crystals while you’re here.

Obelisk:

An obelisk is a tapering four-sided shaft of stone, having a pyramidal apex representing a captured solar ray or a cosmic mountain. The pointed pillar of the obelisk symbolizes the journey of the spirit from the vibrations of the material “earthly” world to the subtle energies of the etheric field. It has been said that “the pillars of the obelisk support the heavens, humankind’s highest aspiration.”  The vertical structure and shape of the tower is suggestive of the hierarchies between higher and lower, power and powerlessness. Are you feeling out of touch living in self-absorbed isolation? Are you living in an ivory tower secluded from others? Is the tower your strength and protective fortress? Or is the tower creating emotional distance and a sense of discrimination with others? The tower gives one the courage to be open to different vistas with a far-seeing point-of-view; perhaps one of patience and endurance in solitude, which sometimes feels like imprisonment, a reminder that we are all just “doing time.” The tower supports the movement inward with introspective and creative musings allowing for reflection and study while patiently waiting for new visions. Obelisks and towers are instruments of Divine Timing – marking sacred space and time. A true obelisk is made from a single piece of stone. Ancient monolithic obelisks had their start in Egypt and can be found all over the world. It is believed that they act as a vessel to help release and distribute built up energy from the Earth. Some believe that's where crystals themselves originate. Since many crystals naturally grow in an obelisk shape, it is thought that built up energies within the earth are released as crystals. The same effect is believed to happen with smaller crystal obelisks placed inside a room. If the space in which the obelisk is placed has built up energy, the obelisk will help to release/distribute and transform this energy depending on what type of crystal the obelisk was made from. Owning and using an obelisk involves first cleansing, then setting intention, and then finding a suitable place to set it. A great way to cleanse new crystals is with selenite. If you have a piece of selenite, wave it over and around your new crystal or set the crystal on top of it or touching it. You can also cleanse crystals by letting them sit in the moonlight overnight (in a safe clean area) or in the sunlight for a few hours. There are several other ways to cleanse your crystals.

Cube:

Cubic Crystals are great for balancing and grounding. Many crystals are found in a cubic formation, the cube shape is associated with the root chakra. Meditating with cubic crystals will help to ground your energy and reconnect you with the powerful energy of the Earth. By placing cubic formations in each of the four corners of a room, you will seal, protect, and ground the energy of your space. It is said that when you put a cube in the corner of a room it will protect that space and emit the energy and intentions set within it. Natural cubic pyrite and an ocean jasper cube are two of my favorite crystal cubes to have, Pyrite is great for cutting through negative vibrations, clearing EMF smog or simply stopping those toxic thought patterns from running through your head. While Ocean Jasper is known to help with grounding and balancing, while aiding in letting go and learning through experience.

Clusters:

Crystal clusters have points of all different shapes and sizes that typically terminate in different directions. Each cluster is special and unique in its own way, no two clusters are ever the same. All the various points on a crystal cluster vibrate together harmoniously with a concentrated and directive energy. The larger the crystal cluster the more space its cleansing energies cover. So, if you have a larger room that you want the cluster to be in, go for larger clusters. A cluster is great for bringing unity to a space. Place a cluster crystal on your family dining table, living room table, or other communal spaces in the home. It's also great to place in conference rooms in an office or places where people come together. It helps create a space of open dialogue and community. Program your crystal cluster with the best intentions of loving energy, clear communication, positive energy and organized thoughts and actions. Clusters are especially powerful with their output of energy. The points in a cluster vibrate together harmoniously to bring positive energy and transmute negativity in any space they are in. They can also help us feel more energized mentally and physically as well as aide us with decision making.

Geodes:

Unlike clusters, Geodes have all of their terminations located on the inside. They are typically rounded and show no sign of crystals on the outside unless they are broken in half. Sometimes geodes are cut at the base so they can be displayed standing up. Each little point within a geode emits its own energy, making the inside of the geode very powerful and perfect for charging or cleansing tumbled stones or small crystals. The geode comes with many different mineral crystals, such as quartz, amethyst, and citrine. They can help you to see the whole picture and helps with coming to a decision before things get out of hand. It helps one have the ability to shape one's own future and bridges communications with the Higher Deity. Geodes also help with communications between people who are in the same healing fields. They can assist one in astral travels and are good tools for meditations, especially the amethyst geodes. These stones can be good for soothing and de-stressing and aid in spirituality and psychism.

Break Your Own Geodes

Break Your Own Geodes

from Morocco

Formed from volcanic activity, a geode begins as a gas bubble rising within lava. Once the lava hardens, the bubble is a void, due to the earth’s natural process of salt equalization where molten silica then methodically fills the gaseous voids. The equalization where molten silica then methodically fills the gaseous voids. The various colors of geodes are determined by trace minerals present within each pocket, with these geodes the chemical most commonly found is also the chemical found in Quartz, Silicon Dioxide. The cooling process will determine the size of the crystals that form. The slower the temperature drops, the larger the crystals become. If the bubble fills fully, it is referred to as an Agate.  The result is beautiful crystal points or layers of banded crystals deposited in the hollow space, much for the wonder of the lucky one who gets to be the first ever to look inside. You never know what you’re going to get with our break your own Geodes. Be sure to be safe as you crack open one of these dazzling druze filled geodes, the safest way to crack open these geodes is with a hammer, a clothe or sock to keep the pieces from flying where they’re not supposed to and safety glasses are always a good idea as well! The harder you hit the geode the more pieces it will break into and the lighter the tap the fewer. So, if you it to crack in half or 3 pieces make sure you don’t hit it too hard. So have fun breaking open your Moroccan geodes! Have a Cracka-lackin time!

Saffordite

Saffordite

aka Chintamani Stone

Saffordites are a lovely lavender-brown colored natural glass stone, sometimes referred to as Arizona Tektites. Saffordite stones are mysterious in many different ways. For example, Saffordite hunting has been enjoyed by many people for years and yet the source where Saffordite originated from is yet to be found! They usually have a rounded or oval shape, which supports the theory that they were tumbled and shaped by agitation in flowing water. Saffordites are pretty rare, they are a 30-million-year-old energetic stone, found only in the scorching desert of Arizona, USA in about a hundred-mile radius and finding them are always few and far between. There is some debate about if the stone is a tektite (coming from outer space) or if it is from a terrestrial origin (volcanic). Most lean towards them coming from a tektite. Yet others suggest it is weathered Obsidian. Saffordites have earned a lot of nicknames and are often called, the holy grail stone, the wish-fulfilling stone, or Chintamani. Chintamani itself is translated as meaning, “thought-gem” or “wishing stone.” Saffordites when seen with the naked eye look like a common brown colored stone. Looking closer, through this stone has tiny moon-like craters and dimples. When held up to the sun it changes to lavender or grey-green opaqueness. Moreover, when held up to a flashlight, they blaze fiery orange to bright yellow and become nearly transparent, showing lines and dimples within the rock. When this occurs you are holding a glowing stone with high vibrational energy and can physically sense the energy it possesses, it definitely feels charged up and warm. Radiating loving grounding energy. There are many different textures and patterns that Saffordite forms in, some are gemmy clear and sparkle when held to light; others are banded and more translucent rather than clear, while some are an opaquer hue, but almost all Saffordites will be a deeper black/purple color until they are held up to light. So, if you have a Saffordite specimen of your very own hold it up to a bright light and see its different characteristics and personality. The Spiritual history and mythical lore of Saffordite goes way back, it is known spiritually as The Chintamani Stone, The Stone of Peace, it is said to have been treasured by Tibetan monks throughout Asia. These monks would keep Chintamani on them as they traveled and would gift them to the foreign leaders they would meet along the way as a sign of peace and reconciliation. They would also give them to foreigners who lodged at their temples, so as to give the stone to their leaders to bring peace to all those who come in contact with the stone. There is believed to be many references to Chintamani in Hindu and Buddhist literature, which points towards the fact that it is a gemstone that has been highly valued and respected. The most common spiritual lore of Saffordite is that it is a gift from the skies to Earth. It is said in these legends that the Chintamani stone came from the Sirius star system some millions of years ago. It happened during a galactic super wave when a planet that was orbiting Sirius A exploded and flew in all directions. Some of these fragments were believed to have reached earth after travelling through interstellar space. Chintamani Stones are known by Native Americans as She She Tay Stones, and are considered to be light huggers. They cannot be reprogrammed, used for evil or dark magic, and they cannot hold any negative energy... but be aware as they will magnify and expose any darkness within you or around you. Some mistake this purging transformation as a "negative" experience, but have faith that the outcome will be better in the end. Just turn on the Light and the darkness will flee.

Quartz Singing Bowls

Spanning back to the 12th century, singing bowls were used all throughout Asia and were commonly found in Tibetan monasteries and temples for mediation practices.

Unlike traditional singing bowls cast in brass, at Rare Earth Gallery, our singing bowls are made from the purest of quartz. This amplifies their resonance, purity of sound, and overall effect.

Our Quartz Singing Bowls are made of 99.992% pure crushed quartz, and heated to about 4,000˚ Fahrenheit in a centrifugal mild!

We often get asked, “what is sound healing” in our Cave Creek travel destination. When an organ or body part is healthy, it creates a natural resonant frequency in harmony with the rest of the body. When the vibration of a part of the body is out of harmony, we have a dis-ease. With dis-ease, a different sound pattern is established in the affected part of the body. When sound is projected into the dis-eased area, correct harmonic patterns are restored.

As the Best Rock Shop in Arizona, we provide a wide array of Singing Bowls, both crystal and brass. Be sure to stop by our tourist destination in Cave Creek, or online at rareearthgallerycc.com to learn more about Singing Bowls!

The Optical Phenomenon of Opalized Ammonite

Ammolite: The Opalization of Ammonites

In this blog we’ll be talking about the amazing phenomenon of Ammolite, Ammolite is an opal-like organic gemstone found primarily along the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains of North America. It is made of the fossilized shells of ammonites, which in turn are composed primarily of aragonite, the same mineral contained in nacre, with a microstructure inherited from the shell. It is one of few biogenic gemstones; others include amber and pearl.  In 1981, ammolite was given official gemstone status by the World Jewelry Confederation, the same year commercial mining of ammolite began. It was designated the official gemstone of the City of Lethbridge, Alberta in 2007. It is also known as aapoak (Kainah for "small, crawling stone. Ammolite is a trade name given to a thin iridescent aragonite shell material that is found on two species of extinct ammonite fossils (Placenticeras meeki and Placenticeras intercalare). Other less-frequently used trade names for Ammolite are "Calcenite" and "Korite." It is also known simply as "ammonite shell." Ammolite is a rare material. All of the world's commercial production comes from a small area along the St. Mary River in southwestern Alberta, Canada. There, two companies mine Ammolite from thin layers in the Bearpaw Formation where the ammonite fossils are found. The color-producing shell layer of Ammolite is usually very thin (often less than one millimeter) and attached to a dark gray to brown base of shale or siderite. Exceptional pieces can be cut into gems without stabilization. Ammonites were cephalopods, that thrived in tropical seas until becoming extinct along with the dinosaurs at the end of the Mesozoic era. The ammonites that form ammolite inhabited a prehistoric, inland subtropical sea that bordered the Rocky Mountains—this area is known today as the Cretaceous or Western Interior Seaway. As the ammonites died, they sank to the bottom and were buried by layers of bentonitic mud that eventually became shale. These sediments preserved the aragonite of the shells, preventing it from converting to calcite. A large array of color is displayed in ammolite, including all the spectral colors found in nature. Red and green are far more common than blue or purple due to the latter's fragility. There are also certain hues, like crimson or violet or gold, which are derived from a combination of the primary colors, that are the rarest and in highest demand. The most valuable grades have three or more primary colors or 1–2 bright and even colors, with the lowest grades having one comparatively dull color predominant. Chromatic shift is how the colors vary with the angle of viewing and the angle of light striking the gemstone. Gem-quality Ammolite produces a spectacular display of iridescent color when it is observed in reflected light. The colors of an individual stone can run the full range of the visible spectrum or be limited to just one or two colors. The color display can rival fine opal and labradorite in its intensity and beauty. Most Ammolite is used to produce triplets. These are made by backing the fragile iridescent material with a thin slab for stability and topping it with a transparent cover for protection. Clear quartz or spinel can be used for the transparent cover. Black shale or another material can be used for the backing. Some Ammolite is made into doublets, which only requires adding a backing or transparent cover as needed. Many stones are impregnated with epoxy for stability. The story of Ammolite begins about 70 to 75 million years ago when forces within the Earth were building the Rocky Mountains in what is now northwestern North America. The area on the east side of the mountains was covered by a broad body of water known as the Western Interior Seaway. It connected what is now the Gulf of Mexico to the Arctic Ocean. Rains falling on the eastern flank of the young Rocky Mountains washed sediments into the seaway. These sediments accumulated and eventually formed a rock unit known as the Bearpaw Formation. The Bearpaw is composed primarily of marine shale but contains some thin sandstones and layers of volcanic ash. The Western Interior Seaway contained many forms of life, including bony fish, shellfish, sharks, sea turtles, and ammonites. Ammonites (the source organisms for Ammolite) are an extinct group of marine invertebrates that possessed a tightly coiled shell similar to the modern Nautilus. The ammonites in the seaway grew to a diameter of up to one meter - but most were about 1/4 to 1/2 that size. When the ammonites died, their shells fell to the bottom of the seaway and were covered with sediment. Many of them served as a nucleus for the formation of siderite concretions which are now found in the Bearpaw Formation. The ammonite fossils within these concretions sometimes have an outer shell layer composed of gem-quality Ammolite. The Bearpaw Formation is exposed at Earth's surface in parts of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Montana, and Utah. The only area known to yield gem-quality Ammolite in commercial amounts is located along the St. Mary River in southwestern Alberta, but small amounts of gem Ammolite have been found in other areas. Iridescent ammonite fossils are found in many outcrops of the Bearpaw Formation, but these are often too damaged by weathering to serve as good gem materials. The best gem-quality material is found in the excavations of mining operations where depth has protected the Ammolite from weathering. Some of it still requires stabilization to be used as a gem material. Some of it is too thin for use in manufacturing. Madagascar ammonite:

Iridescent ammonite shells are not unique to the Bearpaw Formation. They are found in many parts of the world. This ammonite specimen was collected in Madagascar and shows beautiful iridescent zones in its shell. The difference between most other iridescent ammonites and those found in the Bearpaw is that the Bearpaw Formation specimens have a layer of iridescence that is thick enough to cut into gems or to use in manufacturing assembled gems. This specimen is about 33 millimeters across. Ammonites with iridescent material in their shells are not unique to the Bearpaw Formation or to Canada. They have been found in Utah, England, Morocco, and Madagascar. When compared to iridescent material from the Bearpaw formation, these materials typically have iridescence that is: 1) too thin to use in the production of gems; 2) too patchy to produce a good display; or, 3) too weak to catch the eye. The Blackfoot people have known about iridescent ammonite fossils for hundreds of years. They called the material "Iniskim" (meaning "buffalo stone") and used it as a talisman. Scientists from the Canadian Geological Survey described iridescent ammonite shells in 1908, but the first exhibition of iridescent ammonite in lapidary projects did not occur until 1962, when cut gems were mounted in jewelry and exhibited in a small gem show in Nonton, Alberta. In 1967, Marcel Charbonneau, owner of a Calgary rock shop, began assembling doublets of iridescent ammonite shell on matrix with a clear quartz cover and calling them "Ammolite." The material quickly became popular. In 1981, Ammolite was recognized as a gemstone by CIBJO Colored Stones Commission, and in 2004 it was named as the official gemstone of the Province of Alberta. The Colored Stones Commission brought international attention to Ammolite, and it’s becoming the "Official Alberta Gemstone" produced enormous local popularity. Today, two companies operate Ammolite mines in the Bearpaw Formation. They are the only mines in the world that produce gem-quality Ammolite. The companies are Aurora Ammolite Mine and Korite International. Korite's marketing materials report that they produce 90% of the world's supply of Ammolite. Most of the Ammolite they produce is cut into finished stones before leaving the company. As a result, very little rough enters the lapidary market. The size of Alberta's Ammolite resource is difficult to assess. Searching outcrops does not yield reliable information because weathering has destroyed and altered much of the original Ammolite. The productive zones in the Bearpaw Formation are only a few feet thick, and the gem material is concentrated in large fossils. This makes drilling an ineffective exploration method. In areas where there is a potential for gem-quality material, the Bearpaw Formation is typically dipping. This limits mining to a thin zone between the outcrop and where the overburden is too thick to mine. Some Ammonites you see with a more symmetrical or rainbow of iridescent colors is an Ammonite inlaid with Ammolite:

This type of Ammonite is created by extracting the Ammolite from multiple Opalized Ammonite shells and inlaying it into the inside of an ammonite shell, usually in a spiraling rainbow pattern. Though it is technically "man-enhanced" the inlaid Ammonites are still all natural gem-quality Ammolite.

The History of Persian Turquoise

One of the most recognizable and consistently fashionable gemstones, Turquoise has been around since about 6,000 BC. Adorning everything from cathedrals and kings to present day celebrities, the sky-blue stone has been a status of wealth, a health talisman, and a fashionably chic gemstone. Historically, Persian Turquoise came to describe the fine robins egg blue or celestial blue color with earth toned matrix. Persia is known to have some of the world’s oldest natural turquoise mines in the world. It is said that the first type of Turquoise that was introduced into western culture through the Silk Road, where Persian Turquoise became available to Europe, western Asia, and America coming from cities like Tous, Neish Apour, Pamhgan, Grogan and Baghdad among others. When the rare Turquoise was brought into Europe around the 16th century, people who normally spoke Chinese, Persian, Turkish or Arabic carried the stone. Turquoise played a crucial role in the protection of the citizens of Persia as they travelled the great Silk Road to sell it far and wide over 2,000 years ago. It is believed that Turquoise sourced from Persian mines was of the finest and purest quality. This purity led Persians to believe that this incredible stone was the earthly connection to the heavens, such was the vibrancy of its blue hue. Great strength and protection could be gained from owning a turquoise gemstone, so it was one of the most desirable pieces of jewelry around. Travelling salesmen would take it all the way to China and Turkey to share its protective properties with the rest of the world, so it was held as dear by the Persians as it was by the people who bought it from them. In the Persian Empire the gemstone was worn around the neck or wrist as protection from unnatural death. It was also believed that the reflection of a new moon on Turquoise brought luck and guarded against evil. The ancients believed that Turquoise indicated its owner’s health, turning pale at the time of illness and losing color at the time of death. Once the stone was given to a new healthy owner the stone regained it original beauty. We now know that the stone can change color depending on light, chemical reaction, dust or acidity to the skin. Turquoise of stunning beauty has been mined in Iran (formerly known as Persia) for over 5,000 years. Although Iranian production accounts for just a small proportion of the world’s total output, it’s Turquoise is still the standard for quality. In Iran, Turquoise is called “Ferozah”, which translated means victory. It is Iran’s national gemstone. The name Turquoise is derived from the French, Pierre turquoise, meaning “Turkish stone,” because the trade routes that brought Turquoise to Europe from the mines in central Asia went through Turkey, and Venetian merchants often purchased the stone in Turkish bazaars.  Considered to be a metaphysical stone, natural turquoise was associated with the goddess Hathor who was the goddess of joy, feminine love and motherhood. The gemstone was traditionally set into turbans and military weapons for the safety and protection of the wearer and it was a firmly-held belief that it would change color when they were in any kind of danger. The roofs of the great palaces and mosques of Persia were also decorated with Turquoise to symbolize the connection to the heavens, so it was deeply rooted in the cultural beliefs of the region at the time. Here are a few photos of the stunning architectural beauties of Iran

Buzzing Bumblebee Jasper

Bumble Bee Jasper will keep you “buzzing” throughout the day and keep the “negative energy away”! The layering in this form of Jasper resembles a bumble bee, hence the name, and is the result of inclusions of Pyrite, Aragonite, Orpiment and Realgar. This mineral was discovered in 1990 in Indonesia and has not been found anywhere else in the world. This is a rare natural occurrence and each piece should be cherished. Practitioners recommend placing it directly on your belly for a few minutes to notice an increase in positive mental thoughts. We love Bumble Bees and Bumble Bee Jasper and we think you will too!

Quartz Formations

Quartz Characteristics and Formations

Let’s talk about the famous Quartz crystal, in this blog we’re going to dive into different structures as well as surface characteristics of Quartz family crystals. The Quartz crystal family has many different characteristics and formations, each with their own physical, spiritual and emotional meanings. Take a minute from your busy day to read and learn a little bit about the different forms of Quartz and their fascinating meanings. Disclaimer, I am in no way an expert on any of this information, it is also important to note that I have only touched the surface of the more factual/scientific/geographical information on these formations and characteristics, and that there are many other formations and characteristics that occur in Quartz than mentioned here. So, as I expand my knowledge on the many, many different variety of Quartz formations, I’ll continue to add to this thread of formations so every one of you can learn along with me.

Twin Quartz

Let’s start with a more common formation of Quartz, Twin Quartz. A Twin Quartz crystal has two terminations at the same end that have developed from a single base. You can easily recognize a twin crystal from two crystals that are connected to each other. Twin crystals are exactly parallel to each other and there is no boundary between the two crystals. They are also known as “Soulmate Quartz”, they are also known to be called Twin Flames or Tantric Twins in the crystal community. Tantric twins can help attract your soulmate, twin flame and/or soul family into your life. When you might be experiencing conflicting emotions, Twin Quartz can help bring harmonizing, decision-making and grounding energies. Twin Crystals are also known to help you gain insight and wisdom into the underlying problems in all types of relationships.

Double Termination in Quartz

Double Terminated Quartz crystals grow with natural terminations at each end of a natural point. Double Terminated quartz can form in Smokey Quartz and Citrine varieties. Double Terminated Crystals can also be artificially created through cutting and polishing single terminated points. These Crystal points are able to transmit and receive energy from both terminations and represent balance and remind us of the need to both give and take. They can be used to facilitate deep meditation states, vivid dream states and expand conscious awareness. Double Terminated Quartz pendants can help maintain balance within the chakra system, strengthen the auric shield and ground excess energy. Double Terminated Quartz crystals have a termination at each end, thus the energy can flow in either direction and can be guided to do so via thought patterns. They are also very useful to facilitate balance within any given energy fields. An example of this is where a root chakra may be overactive and the sacral chakra underactive. Place a Double Terminated Quartz crystal between them and the two chakras will self-balance.

Key & Indentation Imprints

A Key imprint is created when a crystal pokes into another during growth, while Indentation imprints are areas of indentations which are larger than Keys, and often alter the shape of the crystal. They could also be called a partial Key. Imprints are caused not so much by another crystal poking INTO a crystal as Keys are, but rather more than two (or more) crystals are growing in proximity to each other and sort of crowding each other’s growth. To put Keys and Imprints into simpler terms, imagine a freshly iced cake, the cake will be the crystal receiving the Key or Imprint and our hand will be the crystal causing the Key or Imprint. A key would be like poking a pointer finger into the icing (either shallowly or deeply), while an imprint would be like lightly pressing our whole hand or palm onto the side of the cake, creating a larger surface area imprint. You will be able to tell it is an Imprint rather than just damage from the fingerprint-like indentation in the imprint that occurs as the crystal grows. So, what are these Keys and Imprints useful for? It’s in their name, Key crystals are good to help you unlock answers to questions you may have and you can access them in different ways. You may gaze into them during meditation, or simply close your eyes and enter the energy of the crystal, imagining it opening and see what answer you get to a question you may ask. I like to put my thumb or finger into the Key as I meditate on the question. There are many different ways, use your intuition for the best way! Imprints show how something is affected by outside influences. The original structure adapts to its environment as outside influences change its shape or form. This allows for growth and change, while still maintaining its basic inherent truth and beauty. Meditate on this and see how it applies to your life and circumstances. It makes you feel softer and helps you to be more loving toward perceived flaws you may have.

Record Keepers

The Raised Record Keeper crystal is by far the most common form found today. It is recognized by raised triangles that appear on the main facets of the stone’s termination, pointing ‘upward’ toward the apex of the termination. While these triangles may appear or ‘pop up’ suddenly, they are just as likely to be already visible when one first receives the stone. Raised Record Keepers activate cellular memory and assist in retrieving information from one’s lineage or past lives. These stones tend not to be preprogrammed with information: rather, they work as a key to unlock what is recorded within one’s own cellular structure. Each triangle appears as a trigger to activate a specific chain link on the DNA. When Working with these stones, it is not unusual for triangles to rise or disappear as aspects of one’s cellular memory are cleared and integrated and new aspects are activated. The Sunken Record Keeper is indicated by an upward-pointing triangle that appears to be cut into the stone and recedes into the surface of the crystal. These are similar to ‘keyholes’ in the surface of the facet but are distinctly triangular in shape. The Sunken Record Keeper is a ‘true’ record keeper, and they are much rarer than the Raised Record Keeper crystals. While the Raised Record Keeper activates the cellular memory so information can be retrieved from one’s own internal data banks, the Sunken Record Keeper contains the times of ancient civilizations. Much of this information tends to be Atlantean. But information from other civilizations and the Star Seed nations has also been recovered. Generally, only the soul who originally programmed the crystal will be able to fully access its information, though the triangle may be visible and the crystal usable by others.

Portal Quartz

Portal Quartz can be used to access other dimensions, times, and realms of existence. These specific configurations consist of a parallelogram that creates a seventh face on the termination of the crystal. When looking at the main face of the stone, this parallelogram can be on either the left or right side. Occasionally a Portal will appear which exhibits both of these at once. The direction of the parallelogram indicates the type of journey one will be able to take in meditation with the stone. A left-facing parallelogram activates the right side of the brain, enabling one to access visions, emotional experiences, and healing information. A parallelogram on the right side of the main face activates the left side of the brain, allowing on to access information on technologies, sciences, processes and structures of a more linear nature. Generally, a right-facing Portal will connect one with the lifetimes, dimensions and beings that can assist in emotional healing and intuitive work; while the left-facing Portal will connect one with lifetimes, dimensions and beings that will reveal technologies and sciences that could be helpful in our evolution and cognitive development. Portal Quartz can be used effectively in alternate-life healing work. All lifetimes occur simultaneously, and healing or growth in one lifetime affects all others. Generally, a right-facing portal can be used to heal emotional wounds from the past or from past lives. Left-facing portals can be used to explore future lives and to envision one’s future desires for this lifetime. Right-directed portals can assist one in perceiving the karmic roots for current life situations, while left-directed portals can assist one in perceiving the karmic effects on one’s current life choices.

Scepter Quartz

Scepter Quartzes are crystals in which a second-generation crystal tip grew on top of another quartz crystal. In a typical scepter quartz, the younger tip is larger than the first tip, but it may also be smaller (then sometimes called a "reverse scepter"). To be a scepter quartz, the second-generation quartz crystal must grow parallel to the underlying crystal. Whether the second generation grew on the old tip, sideways on the prism, or somewhere in between is not relevant. Scepter Quartz combines the powerful Storm element energy of Quartz with the directional power of Fire. Its form is very much like an arrow and its energy can be related to that of the Wands suit in the tarot – fostering creativity, direction and action. Scepter Quartz stimulates the aura. Helping one feel more energized and excited about taking action and moving in new directions. Its frequency helps one to open to the creative mind and find new ways of bringing thought into physical form. These crystals were used in Atlantis and Lemuria in healing ceremonies and were a symbol of the power of their realm; those who carried a scepter crystal were in a position of "high priest/priestess". It is an excellent configuration for transmission of directional energy.

Trigonic Quartz

Trigonic Quartz crystals are among the rarest formations in the entire Quartz menagerie. They are characterized by an inscribed triangle in one or more of the termination faces, similar to a Sunken Record Keeper. But unlike the Record Keeper, which displays a triangle pointing upward toward the apex of the termination, the Trigonic’s points down, away from the termination. This is the means by which to identify crystals of Trigonic Quartz, which are far rarer than Record Keepers. However, what’s important about them are the energy and information available through them. Trigonic Quartz crystals are crystals of transition – dwellers on the liminal threshold between worlds. The frequency of Trigonics connect to the third eye, crown and upper transpersonal chakras. They open one’s consciousness to the higher dimensions so that one is able to gain insight and knowledge from one’s soul and to understand aspects of one’s lives, past, present and future. This rare formation allows one’s consciousness to “travel” through dimensional doorways enabling one to “see” and “feel” different states of consciousness and awareness, projecting all possibilities into one’s open state of awareness, without judgement. The energy of Trigonics allow one to have absolute trust, and to be accepting on all levels. Trigonics can occur in Clear Quartz, Amethyst, Citrine or Smoky Quartz. Clear Quartz offers the highest vibration; Amethyst enhances protection; Citrine increases mental clarity and Smoky Quartz aids in grounding. Trigonic Quartz can be used with any other stone, and its capacities will not diminish. Rather, it will magnify what the other stones offer.

Manifestation Quartz

The Manifestation Quartz crystal displays a five-sided face on the front of the crystal’s termination, representing the five elements of Earth, Fire, Water, Wind and Storm. The number five also represents the expression of Spirit and energy through form and has been traditionally linked to the Goddess archetype. The sacred pentagon formed by these five sides stimulates one’s connection to the Divine Source, particularly the nurturing and creative energy of the Goddess or Great Mother. These crystals have the ability to guide one in connecting with the archetypal Goddess energy and in giving birth to one’s dreams through action. In meditation, the Manifest spirit crystal can help guide one to the Divine Source and to channel that energy through the physical body into expression on the Earth plane. The Manifestation crystal is recognized by a small crystal totally enclosed within a larger crystal, and they are very rare.  The use of the manifestation crystal requires the inner knowledge that one is a clear and perfect channel, that a pure white light provides the guiding way, and that the purity of the Divine is within the inner self.  They can also be used to facilitate artistic creativity, creative thinking, agricultural pursuits, and to increase or decrease any aspect of one’s life. The use of the manifestation Quartz requires the inner knowledge that one is a clear and perfect channel, that a pure white light provides the guiding way, and that the purity of the Divine is within the inner self.  They can also be used to facilitate artistic creativity, creative thinking, agricultural pursuits, and to increase or decrease any aspect of one’s life.

Elestial Quartz

Elestial Quartz, also known as window Quartz, is a type of Quartz with specific patterns of terminations that flow through the body and face of the crystal. Finding a clear Elestial Quartz is rather uncommon, so you will more often than not see it in the Smoky Quartz form. In addition, Fenster Quartz is a specific variety of Clear Elestial Quartz, these mineral configurations are most commonly found in Brazil, Madagascar, Africa and the United States. Elestial Quartz acts as a window into the spiritual world, linking our conscious body and spiritual mind to the universe. Elestial Quartz crystals are powerful Earth element crystals carrying a frequency that structures and regulates energy. You can imagine this energy-regulating function like the dimmer switch on a light. The stone receives full-spectrum Light energy and adjusts it until it can be absorbed and utilized by one’s physical and energetic systems. Depending upon the level of Light with which one is capable of resonating, this ally will either dim or intensify the Light energy to match the frequency most needed by the individual. This is an extremely important function in healing work, as it enables one to resonate with the highest possible frequency without ‘burning out’ one’s energy system. Its presence in a healing room can ensure that an individual will be able to integrate maximum Light energy without discomfort. Elestial Quartz can be used by the same individual over the course of an entire lifetime, without the possibility of outgrowing the stone’s energy. As we know, Light carries information. As one’s ability to integrate higher frequencies of Light develops, the level of information received also shifts to the higher frequencies, making Elestial Quartz an inexhaustible source for knowledge appropriate for one’s growth level. It is an information library containing everything from the basic ‘spiritual primer’ level of information to the ‘spiritual master’ level.

Tabular Quartz

Tabular Quartz is so named because its growth pattern is flat and broad. Frequently, Tabular Quartz crystals are double-terminated. They act as bridges of Light that allow energy to move over areas where blockages or breaks in the vibrational field would otherwise prevent energy flow. ‘Tabbies’ are excellent allies to use on the healing table, because that can amplify the energy of other stones as they facilitate the movement of the stone’s energies through the meridians and the chakra system. In meditation, Tabular Quartz crystals can assist in astral travel and the exploration of other lifetimes. Tabular Quartz Crystals are the “Communicators.” These crystals are willing helpers in facilitating clear and helpful information between two people who may be having communication issues. Place the crystal between the two parties involved to facilitate a greater depth of understanding and empathy for all concerned. They are joyful, playful crystals that can really activate one’s funny bone! It is amazing how seemingly unpalatable information can be delivered when wrapped up in humor! Balance and harmony are this crystal’s forte. Tabular crystals can be used to charge and clear smaller crystals by placing them on the Tabbies’ flat sides overnight. They also help one when working with timelines – helping one understand the connection between timelines. How a timeline from the past can be related to a current timeline. These crystals are also helpful in grounding and merging one’s etheric bodies into the physical body to bring together their combined knowledge in a cohesive fashion. Often this information comes in the form of a flash vision, or feelings. To facilitate this process, hold the tabular crystal in your hands, empty your mind as best you can and focus on your breathing. Once you are in a meditative state, or just simply in a calm and relaxed state, ask your question. Do not worry if you do not get your answer right away. The answer will quite likely come to you in a EUREKA moment, a least expected moment when your conscious mind is not so intent on being at the forefront of your being!

Cathedral Quartz

Cathedral Quartzes crystal system is hexagonal, which grows lesser points along the body of the main crystal, running parallel and partially embedded. It comes from Brazil, Madagascar, Africa, Russia and Switzerland. Descriptively, these crystals are comprised of smaller points, surrounding and merging into a main point. They remind me of a castle. there is one main crystal (like the main spire of the castle) and it is surrounded by smaller points, some of which are merged into the main point. Compare that to how some of the “rooms” of the castle are merged and some are just very close (share a wall). Clear Cathedrals (they can be clear Citrine or clear Smoky) are referred to as Lightbrary Cathedrals. These crystals have doorways in their castling formation. To travel into the crystal, simply relax and gaze into the doorway. Once your mind, body and spirit are ready, you will see the doorway open and your consciousness will be drawn into the crystal. From there you can travel into different chambers and receive information that you are ready for at that time. You may also travel in inner and outer spacial dimensions in complete safety within the crystal. Cathedral crystals are very rare, and seem to arrive in waves. There is not too much more to say about Cathedrals as everyone’s experience of them is usually unique to the crystal/person combination at that time. Metaphysically, Lightbraries are extremely powerful Lightworkers and are full of wisdom. They transmit a very high vibration and can be used to raise your vibrational frequency. The smaller points (the points which surround the Main, large point) contain information from the Akashic records. I am told it isn’t so much that the records or information is written WITHIN the crystal, but that the energy contained within the crystal assists the soul in reaching the Hall of Records. As the name implies, a Lightbrary is like a library made of light. The library being the Akashic records. The Akashic Records or “The Book of Life” can be equated to the universe’s super computer system. It is this system that acts as the central storehouse of all information for every individual who has ever lived upon the earth.

Starbrary Quartz

Some crystals have been encoded by various star systems. Some of us call them starbraries. They are recognized by the presence of glyph like markings, symbols and geometric patterns plus usually a doorway or key. There are at least 6 different peoples who left crystal records. The most sought after are the maps, histories and legends of the people of the Cassiopeia star system. They are recognized by more flowing lines and symbols along the sides of the crystal. While they often manifest (exhibit) key markings, they don't always, but there will always be different and comfortable ways to hold the crystal, facilitating the opening of the many layers. Another type of starbrary features geometric symbols (triangles, squares, circles, etc.) along the sides, often with profound keys. These contain information from the Pleiades. These first two types are the most important and are the basis for most of the Lemurian and Atlantean recollections. Another type shows more linear patterns, rather like a combination of the first two. The people leaving these records came from the Leo star system. All the information contained within these crystals is more historical information: names, dates, weather and so on, they contain much more factual information and are not as philosophical as the first two. The next type is a series of indented triangles and dashes- a kind of Morse Code. These are often called cosmic crystals and they resemble a meteor shower. They are read by the dots and dashes and arise from a system in Ursa Minor. (The Little Dipper) These codes were generally used throughout Atlantis during their Civilization. Then there is the Titanium included quartz with the deep ridges and furrows that create definite glyphs in the FACES of the crystal rather than the sides. It is the only starbrary that is marked on the faces rather than the sides. These arose from the Orion system, and of all, these need companion crystals. The information contained in them is very detailed and the companions help make it both attainable and understandable. These crystals were of utmost importance to the Native American culture. The last is a slightly different type in that they are almost always DT. They have keys, but these keys are sometimes quite tiny. The critical thing about these is the sides appear to be layered, similar to a lightbrary, but with no raised face termination. It's as if the ET crystals overgrew the main one. These come from the Andromeda peoples and these appear to be connected to crystals from Cassiopeia and the Pleiadian peoples, leading to the speculation that there may have been collaboration among the star peoples.

Generator Quartz

A Generator configuration of Quartz consists of six equal sides meeting perfectly at the apex. This is a fairly rare formation and should be treasured if you have the opportunity to connect with one. These Stones act as Earth energy ‘batteries’, allowing one to easily access and utilize the electromagnetic energy of the Earth’s aura. One can use this energy receptively to recharge one’s own energy banks if one is drained or has been ill or injured. They can also be used in a directive manner to broadcast prayer and thought energy through the electromagnetic field of the planet, much like a radio broadcast. Generator Quartz crystals are special entities and are now surfacing on the planet in order to assist in the mass transformation and energetic shift which are occurring. Individuals and groups can utilize these stones to broadcast healing and love through the Earth’s energetic field, to be received by all beings upon the planet.

Self-Healed Quartz

Self-Healed Quartz crystals have a complete termination at one end and an unbroken but non-terminated form at the other. One can identify them by the fact that there is no discernible fracture – though often some very interesting patterns – at the non-terminated end. They are called self-healed because the original ‘broken’ end has been overgrown with Quartz crystal at some point in its history. Self-Healed Quartz crystals are master teachers. They can assist one in accepting one’s difficult experiences and past traumas and in perceiving how those experiences have contributed to one’s growth. It is through the integration of these experiences that one comes to know the many facets of one’s true self, just as the many facets at the base of a Self-Healed crystal reflects its internal structure. Self-Healed Quartz crystals can be used to facilitate healing on all levels, through the practice of reflective integration. By meditating with a Self-Healed crystal, one can perceive the parts of one’s inner core that need to be accepted into the whole. They are also excellent tools to use in healing work. They facilitate the healing of wounds from surgery or trauma and are excellent for use with broken bones. On a mental level, they can assist one in gaining an understanding of one’s emotional lessons and life experiences.

Phantom Inclusions in Quartz

Phantom-crystal is a variety of Quartz that have formed on earlier existing crystals over a course of a million years. These crystals are created when another substance other than Quartz washes over the crystal, leaving a layer on the termination during the crystal’s natural growth cycle. The crystal continues to grow, leaving an image of itself where it was at the time the substance washed over it. Phantoms can be made up of such minerals as Chlorite, Hematite or even Clay. On occasion heat can play a part, causing a phantom to be visible through a different color shade. Most often either Smoky or Amethyst can display these heat-induced types of Phantom. The most powerful phantom configurations are termed as being 3D. This is where the substance has totally covered the entire termination, leaving a three-dimensional image of itself. On a personal level, a phantom quartz crystal represents phases in one’s life where one is called to grow and evolve. Often, the mineral inclusions in phantom quartz crystals resemble hills, mountains, and the greenery of earth; thus, phantom crystals can provide a link between you and the earth.

Lemurian

Lemurian quartz is a special variety of clear quartz, which is a silicon dioxide mineral. These crystals are found in either Colombia or the Diamantina region of Brazil. They exhibit ladder-like horizontal striations and grooves on the sides of the crystal body, with very clear interiors. Lemurian quartz is said to connect to the ancient civilization of Lemuria, where people used crystals to focus consciousness for activities like healing and clairvoyance. These crystals are programmed with the consciousness of ancient Lemuria, which some have compared the biblical Garden of Eden. Holding, carrying, or wearing Lemurian quartz stimulates these latent human abilities, like clairvoyance and telepathy, and helps us to access and develop them once again. Lemurian quartz is very soothing and calming to our consciousness, and it also supports the brain and central nervous system. It is also an excellent tool for meditation, allowing one to enter a meditative state quickly and deeply.

As we, humanity, enter into the Great Awakening and the next stage of our human evolution, it is time for us to reclaim these lost gifts and abilities. For too long, we have been dominated by the mind, and forgotten the Truth of the Heart. Lemurian quartz is here to help us through this time of transition, as we ascend to once again become the beautiful beings of love and light that we were always meant to be.

Emerald Compassion

Emerald is a type of green beryl with a hexagonal crystalline structure. The name emerald is derived from the ancient Greek word "smaragdos" meaning "green stone." It was associated in ancient times with the goddess Venus and was a symbol of fertility. Emerald, being green (the color of the heart chakra), is a heart chakra stone, and is also the most pure representation of the Green Ray frequency. This makes it an excellent crystal to open the heart chakra, allowing one to live and act from the heart, and also to give as well as receive love from others. Emerald also attunes the heart to the Divine Love of the creator and helps one to channel this pure unconditional love and wisdom in their daily life. Prosperity, courage, compassion, strength, and abundance are all stimulated and increased by using or wearing emerald. Just as this beautiful green crystal strengthens and heals the heart chakra, it is also a powerful strengthener and healer of the physical heart, aiding one in recovery from all types of imbalance and disease. Emerald brings the joy and peace of abundance to our lives - whether it be an abundance of wealth, love, compassion, wisdom, friendship, or happiness.

Ethiopian opal

Ethiopian opal is a hydrated amorphous form of silica. They have body colors that often range from yellow to orange to red, but can also be white or clear. Ethiopian opals are considered "precious" opals, meaning that they display a bright play-of-color or iridescence, as opposed to common opal which does not. It is important to note that Ethiopian opals are "hydrophane," meaning that they easily absorb water, so it is best to avoid getting your opal wet. Ethiopian opals powerfully stimulate the auric field and energize all chakras. Like fire opals, which have a similar yellow/orange/red body color, they also resonate especially strongly with the first three chakras. Because of this, Ethiopian opals are wonderful for helping us to awaken our passion and creativity. For anyone who would like to be more confident, outgoing, and optimistic, Ethiopian opals make great companions to help stimulate these attributes. They ease fears, inhibitions, and self-consciousness, offering us greater self expression and enjoyment of the pleasures of life.

Aventurine

Click here to see our Aventurine

Aventurine is a member of the quartz family. It is translucent with platy mineral inclusions, which create a shimmering sparkling effect. Green aventurine is the most common, but it is also found in shades of blue and red/brown as well. The green variety contains particles of fuchsite suspended within the quartz matrix. Red aventurine is due to hematite inclusions, and blue aventurine contains inclusions of copper silicates. Aventurine derives its name from the Italian “a ventura” meaning “by chance.” This alludes to the discovery of “avventurino” or goldstone, a man made glass with flecks of copper which give it a shimmering effect similar to aventurine. It is quite appropriate that this stone was named after the idea of chance or luck, as aventurine is one of the luckiest stones! Useful in situations where one cannot control the outcome, aventurine draws luck, opportunity, and abundance to its bearer. This is a stone of good humor, bringing with it feelings of hope, upliftment, optimism, and joy. Being a heart chakra stone, aventurine acts as an emotional anchor, keeping one grounded and centered in the heart even through the most challenging and stressful of circumstances. Green aventurine combines both water and earth element energies, allowing one to remain stable, centered, and grounded through times of change and upheaval.

Muonionalusta Meteorite

Muonionalusta Meteorite is a Nickel-Iron alloy meteorite discovered in northern Scandinavia in 1906. These Nickel-Iron Meteorites are one of the only meteorites that display the curious feature of the Widmanstatten pattern, which is composed of lamellae (bands) of Kamacite & Taenite, two iron-nickel minerals with very different iron-nickel ratios. This pattern is formed when the material is cooling through the “dark, red, hot” temperature range. In order to form the macroscopic lamellae, the material needs to have a cooling rate in the range of 100-6600 degrees Celsius per MILLION years. In comparison the earth’s own core is cooling at the rate of -100 degrees Celsius per BILLION years! Muonionalusta Meteorite, named after the nearby place it impacted, Muonionalusta on the Muonio River. Studies have shown it to be the oldest discovered meteorite, impacting Earth during the Quaternary Period, about 1 million years ago. But the technical age of this meteorite was found through radiological dating, which through cosmic ray exposure data tell us about how the body broke apart approximately 400 million years ago. Yep, it’s really old. The ancient Chinese considered meteorites to be sacred stones, and the Tibetans knew them as vajra stones, associated with the fiery power of creation. Thousands of meteors collide with the Earth every day, but only a tiny fraction reach the ground without completely burning up. A few more fun facts about Munionalusta Meteorite. Excalibur, the fabled sword of King Arthur, was said to have been made from a Nickel-Iron Meteorite. These meteorites are composed of the same materials that forms the Earth’s core, and they may come from the cores of destroyed planets or the planet-forming bodies called planetesimals, so there’s a possibility that you could own a fragment of a planetary core! Metaphysically, Nickel-Iron Meteorites vibrate with an almost electrical intensity. They have the capacity to activate the kundalini channel along the spine, bringing the usually dormant spiritual fire which exists in all human beings into full force.

Pyrite

Pyrite is an iron sulfide mineral. It forms at both high and low temperatures in igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rocks worldwide, making it the most common of the sulfide minerals. The brassy yellow color of pyrite has earned it the nickname “fool’s gold.” However, the name pyrite is actually derived from the Greek root word “pyr” meaning “fire,” alluding to the fact that sparks can be created by striking two pieces of the mineral together. The crystal pattern of pyrite is often cubic, although it has many other formations, including pyritohedral, octahedral, massive, granular, and botyoidal. Pyrite resonates with the solar plexus chakra, helping to energize that chakra, and giving a burst of vitality to the physical body and the energy fields. It is a stone of willpower and determination, increasing confidence and aiding one in taking assertive action. As such, pyrite is an excellent stone for manifesting ideas into physical reality. This stone has a masculine energy to it, which increases ambition, commitment, and confidence in taking positive action, which is very helpful in overcoming any negative habits that might be holding one back. For men, it enhances confidence in their masculinity, and can even be used to support healthy expression of male eroticism and to treat sexual dysfunction. Pyrite contains both Earth and Fire element energies, aiding one to connect with the Earth and channel that energy into the physical body, giving an instant rebalancing to the subtle bodies and a refreshing burst of energy to the physical body. It also supports the blood and increases blood oxygenation levels. Overall, pyrite makes an excellent tool for anyone wishing to increase their confidence, vitality, and ability to manifest their dreams into reality.

Canyon Diablo Meteorite

The Canyon Diablo Meteorite is classified as a Coarse Octahedrite Iron Meteorite, named after the nearby Canyon Diablo which lies three to four miles west of the crater. This meteorite is estimated to have impacted approximately 50,000 years ago, colliding with the Earth at 50 times the speed of sound, and the total weight attributed to the meteorite was put at 30 tons! In 6 seconds, the Canyon Diablo Meteorite excavated 175 million tons of limestone and sandstone, sprayed molten rocks upward and tossed the meteorite several miles away. Fragments have been collected and used by prehistoric Native Americans and the biggest single fragment is the Holsinger Meteorite with a mass of 639 kg. The typical samples of the Canyon Diablo Meteorite are represented by coarse octahedrite matter with Kamacite band widths of 1.88 – 2.2 mm. In many meteorite fragments, especially ones found on the crater rim, the Widmanstatten Pattern had been destroyed as a result of the explosion that occurred when the meteorite hit the Earth. The shock of the meteorite impact also formed small diamonds in the meteorite. According to the first geological report on the gigantic northern Arizona crater, in 1891, which was not on the crater itself but on the tiny diamonds found in the nearby meteorites. The Diamonds in the Canyon Diablo Meteorite are unevenly distributed and are found inside the highly recrystallized meteor fragments at the rim of the crater. From evidence of shock recrystallization of the meteorite matter it would seem that the diamond containing fragments of the Canyon Diablo Meteorite had to undergo shock pressure from 400 kbar to 1mgbar at impact, at these pressures the diamonds crystallize. Note the captivating reddish-bronze natural desert patina caused by different degrees of oxidation during terrestrial weather and striking abstract form of this rare space rock.

Chrysanthemum stone

Chrysanthemum stone is named for its lovely white-gray flower pattern which resembles a chrysanthemum flower. Also called the "flower stone," this lovely mineral consists of a black gypsum clay, dolomite, and limestone, with internal crystals composed of celestite, calcite, feldspar, or andalusite. Chrysanthemum stone was formed approximately 270 million years ago at the bottom of ancient oceans. High temperatures and intense pressure caused compression of rich organic layers of mud. As minerals such as calcium carbonate (calcite) and strontium sulphate (celestite) were slowly deposited and built up in the layers of mud, the extreme pressures at that depth of the ocean forced the crystals to grow outward in flat radial formations, and this is what creates the beautiful flowerlike appearance of the stone. Energetically, chrysanthemum stone can be used to awaken dormant abilities, passions, and talents. It is a stone that magnetically attracts good luck and opens the way for new opportunities in life, especially when one is following their souls highest purpose. For those who feel stuck, lost, or are unsure of their soul's purpose or direction in life, chrysanthemum stone makes a powerful tool and ally to draw inspiration and synchronistic opportunities, helping to find and follow the path of their soul's greatest glory, and assisting and uplifting them to truly blossom and manifest their dreams.

"When we embark on the road of our soul's longing, the very act of turning in that direction and moving forward can give the universe the cue it needs to help us." - Robert Simmons

Spirit Quartz

Spirit quartz is an unusual variety of quartz which is found only in South Africa. It features one main central crystal point with many small terminated points growing along the body of the main crystal. Because of its appearance, it is also sometimes called pineapple quartz or cactus quartz. Although this quartz formation is most commonly found as amethyst exhibiting varying shades of lavender/purple, other varieties do exist, including citrine, white, and smokey spirit quartz. One of the most exciting properties of this crystal is its ability to connect the everyday conscious awareness with the Higher Self (the greater overall soul, which contains all the memories of all the lives and experiences that soul has ever had). The Higher Self is the repository of all the divine knowledge and wisdom of the soul. By strengthening this connection of the conscious mind to the Higher Self, spirit quartz speeds up our evolution and allows the Higher Self to work through us more fully. The amethyst variety of spirit quartz is particularly useful for understanding and verbally expressing the divine wisdom of the Higher Self. It opens the crown chakra, clears negative attachments and energies, repairs the etheric body, and cleanses the overall auric field. Citrine spirit quartz activates and unblocks the solar plexus chakra, elevating one to act directly from the will of the Higher Self. And white spirit quartz is the most beneficial for the physical body, clearing and cleansing it to become the most optimal vehicle and vessel of the Higher Self.

Chrysocolla & Malachite

CHRYSOCOLLA

“Gem of Communication”

Chrysocolla is often found interlaced with Malachite and/or Azurite, and

our specimens are mined straight out of Arizona, but are also found in

the Congo and other parts of the world where copper is prevalent. We

carry specimens that are “gem-silica” mined from Globe, material

interlaced with Malachite from Morenci, and ore mixed with specular

hematite from Wickenburg. Chrysocolla is a secondary copper mineral,

forming in the surrounding matrix of copper. A very gentle stone, its

energy works in a passive, harmonious way. It can help soothe nervous

tension, ease fear, anxiety, and guilt. It is also used to communicate with

the spiritual feminine forces of the Earth.

MALACHITE - CONGO

“Gem with the Mirror into the Soul”

Malachite is usually found in opaque green masses, its color derived

from copper, as a secondary mineral. Found in the vast rainforests of the

Congo in Africa; the moisture allows copper to oxidize most easily into

the surrounding stone. Chatoyant (fibirous) crystals are too small for

faceting, but the light bending quality leaves one in awe. The massive

material can be carved or polished in many ways to reveal the alternating

bands of light & dark green. In the past, malachite was worn to ward off

danger & illness. Exhibition of botryoidal “eyes” formation, the layers

represent an introspective stone.

The type of metals range from titanium to silicone oxide. The colors are produced by heating the solid metal in an arc and turning it into vapor, where it physically bonds to the crystal surface. The crystals themselves are real and the rainbow color on the outside is the metal. Even though these crystals are enhanced with metal, they are still all comprised of components from Mother Earth.

Golden Rutile Quartz

RUTILE QUARTZ

“Gem of Energy Movement”

The Golden Rutile Quartz

aka. Venus-hair stone, rutile quartz is a

crystalline form of silica with inclusions of the mineral ‘rutile’, which

forms as clusters of needles. Minerals may vary from titanium to

tourmaline. If these two minerals are forming at the same time, the

titanium or mineral needles will get trapped inside the transparent

quartz. This produces the hair-like gold and silver color threads that

reflect light inside of the quartz. Excellent in assisting in the decision

making process, it is very helpful in uncovering the causes of mental

issues and hang-up.

Colorful Fluorite

FLUORITE

“Gem of Mental Clarity ”

Natural Fluorite also known as Fluorspar, fluorite is a mineral form of

calcium fluoride. It crystallizes in isometric cubic habit, and is a colorful

mineral both in visible and ultraviolet light. Fluorescence involves the

elevation of electron energy levels by quanta of ultraviolet light, followed

by the progressive falling back of the electrons into their previous energy

state, releasing quanta of visible light in the process. Fluorite heightens

mental abilities, assisting in rapid organization and the processing of

information, and can also bring mental clarity and stability.

Steel Tongue Drums

Beta & Theta Brain Patterns

These instruments help move you from Beta brain waves (anxiety & fight or flight reflexes) to Alpha, Theta, and Delta brainwaves that are associated with relaxation & meditation. Steel tongue drums nourish the forebrain, which governs 40% of our problem-solving and decision-making skills.

When we are in Beta, we lose blood flow to the forebrain, challenging the decision-making process.  Steel tongue drums also assist with balancing the hemispheres of the brain. The left hemisphere or the analytical side, and the right hemisphere our intuition.

How it works:

Sound healing is a practice used by cultures such as the ancient Egyptians, Chinese, Native Americans, and even the United States military. It is used to treat mental illness, restore balance and happiness, and achieve peak performance.

It is claimed that sound healing can treat depression, developmental disorders, anxiety, PTSD, and help manage physical and mental pain. For healthy individuals, managing one’s sound environment can be a way to recover from daily stress and enhance productivity, communication, and a feeling of well-being.

Our physical and emotional — perhaps even spiritual — states can be conceived of as a particular blend of frequencies, from our heartbeats and blood pressure, to the pace of our thoughts and movement. Due to a negative feedback loop, the human body and mind can sometimes remain in a self reinforcing state of stress or imbalance. The common admonition to simply snap out of it is not usually helpful because of this loop.

The human body and mind are exquisitely attuned to the environment, so a more helpful approach is to adjust the environment to help us feel the way we want. The basic principle of sound healing is to introduce a particular frequency and rhythm that we will adapt our internal frequencies to, thus helping us overcome internal conflicts, blockages, and illness. This can be a sound or vibrations directly introduced into the body via direct contact.

Arizona Petrified Wood

AZ PETRIFIED WOOD

“Rooted in the Spiritual Body Expressing in the Physical”

Az Petrified Wood:

One of the most well-known fossils, petrified wood is

a fascinating example of mineral replacement. Thick layers of sediments

buried the wood from primeval forests. Over eons of time, tiny crystals of

silica, in the form of agate, replaced each wood fiber. Often, minerals like

iron oxide color the agate, producing a rainbow of hues such as this

petrified wood found near Holbrook, AZ. Petrified Wood is the official

State Fossil of Arizona. It is dated at least 180,000,000 years old. Petrified

wood helps us be patient with life, allowing it to evolve with perfection.

Works with the root & third eye chakras to bring healing to physical and

emotional issue.

Labradorite Phenomena

The optical phenomena of Labradorite:

Some of the many questions I often get are: “what creates labradorite’s iridescence?” How does labradorite have that brilliant shift?” or “How is the reflection created?”.

All being valid questions due to the rarity and distinct beauty of labradorite’s elegant blue-green iridescent shifts! Labradorite’s fascinating schiller or metallic luster  is believed to be due to the presence of different compositions as well as minute inclusions of limenite, rutile, and possible magnetite, which cause the diffraction of light. According to a Canadian Eskimo legend, the northern lights were once trapped in the rocks along the coast of Labrador, and then a wandering Eskimo warrior found them and freed most of the lights with a mighty blow of his spear. Some of the lights were still caught within the stone, however, and thus we have the beautiful mineral known as labradorite.

Copper

Copper is a fascinating element found at rare earth gallery. About two thirds of copper is found in volcanic rocks and one quarter is found in sedimentary rocks. Copper turns green due to oxidation. It loses electrons when exposed to air and water. The oxidation is a dull green matter. Cooper is also an essential nutrient for our body along with iron. These elements allow the body to form red blood cells. Copper is also a natural antibacterial agent.

Meteorite

Meteorites are solid pieces of debris that originate from outer space and survive passing through the atmosphere of a planet or moon in order to reach the surface. Traditionally, meteorites are divided into three major categories or types: stony (containing rock-forming silicate minerals), iron (containing nearly solid nickel-iron metal), and stony-iron (around 50% rock and 50% iron-nickel). Energetically, meteorites are said to stimulate the earth star, root, solar plexus, third eye, crown, and soul star chakras, as well as to balance and align the energetic fields of the body. Meteorites have a healing effect on the physical body; they can increase one's overall strength and stamina, and strengthen the blood and circulatory system as well. Said to increase self-confidence and motivation, these celestial crystals are wonderful tools for stimulating inner vision and spiritual awakening, as well as helping one attune to interdimensional and extraterrestrial communication. Meteorites are a beautiful gift from the heavens - able to both expand human consciousness and to provide a tangible connection to the mysterious energies of other worlds.

Orthoceras

The Orthoceras Fossil

The Orthoceras was an ancient mollusk that lived more than 400 million years ago. The name means straight horn, referring to its characteristic long, straight, conical shell. The Orthoceras shell is made up of two main segments: the siphuncle & the septa. The siphuncle is the line running down the center from head to tail. The septa are the short-curved lines that run across or side to side. The differences in composition of these shell parts allowed for differences in fossilization so the parts to be seen.  These straight shelled nautiloids ranged in size from less than a centimeter to more than 14 feet! The preserved shell is all that remains of this ancestor of our modern-day squid.

Azurite

Azurite is a stunning deep blue copper mineral which is created through the weathering of copper ore deposits. It is one of two basic copper carbonate minerals, the second of which is malachite. These two minerals form under similar conditions and are often found inter-grown with one another.

Every color has a vibrational frequency, and the rich deep dark blue color of azurite vibrates to the exact frequency of the third eye chakra, making it an ideal tool to cleanse, stimulate, and open that energy center. This beautiful blue crystal was revered by many ancient cultures. The ancient Chinese, for example, called it the "stone of heaven" as they believed it to open celestial gateways. Native Americans used it to contact spirit guides, to feel their presence, and to receive messages from them. In current times, azurite is coveted as a valuable tool in enhancing inner vision, creativity, and in the development of psychic powers. It also strengthens the astral and etheric bodies, and brings clarity and a sense of calm peacefulness to the mind. A stone of truth and discernment, azurite is a powerful aid for increasing mental clarity and insight, and illuminating truth.
