Madagascar Petrified Wood Palm Stone | Rare Earth Gallery

Madagascar Petrified wood is over 80,000,000 years old. The trees originally grew during the Triassic period. After the trees died, they were buried by sediment; decomposing slowly. Saturated with water/mud rich in silica and trace minerals, eventually the silica and various other minerals replaced the cast left behind by the wood and the logs became stone. The beautiful coloring of the wood is due to traces of iron, manganese and carbon stained the silica. Over time, the sediment covering or surrounding the wood erodes, exposing the petrified logs beneath the surface.

Petrified wood is a great stone for strengthening the body and increasing stability in the spine and skeletal structure. It is a stone of transformation, slow and steady growth towards spiritual expansion. Petrified wood can give a sense of peace during times of change and upheaval, as well as helping us to recall and reconnect with our past lives. This stone also assists in recognizing negative limiting patterns and beliefs that have been handed down to us from our ancestors, and aids us in releasing those things while holding on to ancient wisdom and lessons gained from our experiences.

Palm stones are perfect to hold during meditation due to their size. Personally this is one of my all time favorite crystal shapes to purchase due to their accessibility and affordable price.
Fidgeting device. Palm stones provide you with something to keep your hands busy or help you to focus and stay grounded.
Keep one in your pocket or bag. I love to pick out a different palm stone I’m drawn to each day to take with me wherever I’m going. That’s another reason why I love palm stones, they are small enough to throw in your bag or pocket and go (although I have to admit I do sometimes like to bring tiny clusters or spheres with me)!

As each piece is unique and one of a kind, please allow for variations in size, shape, and color of the stone that you receive.
