The Golden Rutile Quartz

aka. Venus-hair stone, rutile quartz is a

crystalline form of silica with inclusions of the mineral ‘rutile’, which

forms as clusters of needles. Minerals may vary from titanium to

tourmaline. If these two minerals are forming at the same time, the

titanium or mineral needles will get trapped inside the transparent

quartz. This produces the hair-like gold and silver color threads that
