The Meteorite Nugget is sharp and beautiful in appearance. The name of this meteorite, ‘Campo De Cielo’ translates to “Field of Heaven” and is found in Argentina. This piece is easily identifiable by it’s smooth yet uneven surface, as well as it’s composition being 90% iron, 10% nickel. This nugget attracts magnets and acts as a grounding stone. 4.5 Billions years ago, iron meteorites originate from the molten iron core of what was briefly a planet between mars and Jupiter. This planet broke apart during the birth of the solar system, and its remnants comprise the asteroid belt, giving rise to " Campo Del Cielo".
